Great, thank you. The kit it's in isn't the kit it came in, someone put this in a Fiero. -
I would imagine the Revell 65 and 66 Impalas would be the way to go but I'm not a Wildcat expert.

I would first make sure you entered the tracking number correctly and if you did then I'd contact the seller and ask them to verify the number.

I've started using these snap blade knives for non critical cutting, so much better as long as you remember to retract the blade.

To me Legos could be anything, one day I built a truck and the next I'd build a space ship or anything else. You can mix and match model parts around but you're still more limited.
-
Now I'm going to have to build a Bumblebee too one day. I also got the decals to build a version of Motormaster like the show truck.

I wasn't able to find another GT500KR kit for a price I wanted to pay for it before the build started so I went with an 07 GT500. Everything in this kit is the same except for the hood and wheels and I've got other wheels coming anyway. I wanted to give a shout out to Firebird Designs, he was super fast and affordable getting these decals done.

That kit is pretty rough, I'm replacing all the guts with stuff from the newer 70 1/2 Z/28. The chassis is a bit wide and needs a bit of trimming behind the rear wheels but it's worth the effort.

34 Ford flatbed
Fat Brian replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There is a Monogram Mack AC that's a flatbed but it's very simple, you could build something similar very easily. -
It looks good, the construction is very similar to their early fox body Mustangs where the inner fenders and interior panels build on top of the chassis plate. I got this one shipped for around $30 still sealed but with the Golden Wheels panel cut off the box.

This beautiful loser joined the stable today. The kit looks pretty good, on par with MPCs other new tools for the early 80s. The optional body kit is horrific, it's well on it's way to being a bosozoku car. Faust would be proud. I found a pic of the body kit, yummy.

I got some water based stains from Crimson Guitars in the UK, they have a youtube channel for their company where I first saw them.

That's the other kit I got, a Tele and an LP. I'm hoping to start staining tomorrow, I'm doing a no burst/lemon burst/honey burst top on it with a carmelish back. I'll see exactly how it pans out but I just want something really classic and old looking.

Those are hilarious.

Yikes, all of those sound horrible. Years ago I was hooking up a pull behind air compressor to a dump truck and it flipped back catch my right middle and ring fingers between the pintle and the bottom of the dump bed. It broke both fingers a lot and pushed the first joint of my middle finger through the skin. They still work but my middle finger is a bit wonky.

Yeah, it wasn't any fun. After the thumb one I ran to to the bathroom to run it under water and contain the blood and I passed out a little. I also got super glue in my eye around the same time. Fortunately it doesn't stick well to wet eye parts.

I stabbed a #11 throught my left middle fingernail when I was 11 or so. I also filleted my left thumb, cutting from the middle of the tip under the nail and out behind it. (Insert throwing up emoji)

GT40s at Goodwood, This is cool

What is the pucker factor of feeling the rear end start come around on a priceless historic sports car? -
My dad turned me on to Apocalyptica after a business trip to Germany, they started out playing Metallica songs on cello.

What semi would you like in a kit?
Fat Brian replied to Bobcat205's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I second the Mack B model and crackerbox GMC. The only newish kit I'd like is a true 379 long hood, nothing else does it for me. I'd rather have the first two, a bull nose Kenworth, a 350 and 351 Pete, and a 70s Brigadier. -
Question for the guitar builders in the group
Fat Brian replied to Fat Brian's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I bet that sounds really good. I'm building mine with single coil sized rail pickups and coil splitting them with push-pots. My fingers are the size and shape of Vienna sausages so I've never been able to play chords cleanly. After 25 years of frustration I sold all my guitars and bought some kits to build two 5 string guitars after I modded a cheapo Chinese Strat and had some success. -
Question for the guitar builders in the group
Fat Brian replied to Fat Brian's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Thank you, I wanted to be sure before I caused myself a bunch of problems. I had considered the depth on the control cavity rout and have the tools to address it if necessary but this kit seems to have an exceptionally deep cavity. I play sitting down mostly which is why I want to move it, I've almost broken my cord several times even with an angled cord. You're Nuka Cola guitar is amazing, that is seriously cool. -
I'm building a Tele guitar kit and I want to move the output jack to the control plate like a Jazz bass. The plan is to drill a third hole in the control plate between the two existing holes and move the last knob to the middle hole letting me put the jack in the last hole. My question is whether this will cause me any grounding issues? Will I need to isolate the jack from the plate so I dont create a dead short?
