  1. Beautiful truck. Kept scrolling down to find the model and then realized I was looking at it!!!! The little guy threw me off. Great build, love the paint work.
  2. Spending $20,000.00 on a car to make it look like it's worth $200.00!!!!!!
  3. Good looking truck. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  4. Njce truck, beautiful paint!
  5. Snap kit pete W/sleeper removed and a peerless trailer modified to a viking folding trailer. Going to call it finished and move on!
  6. Found this at a yard sale this morning for .50. thought at first it was still sealed, but got it home and found it is missing one tire and part of the decal sheet. Everything else is there and still attached to the trees. Even has the instruction sheet! Not sure where the decal sheet came from?
  7. Yea and what with safety features, tariffs, and government involvement, time it gets here, it will be $15,000.00 and get 20 mpg!
  8. Thanks for this post! I'll have to try this on the In-laws, seems I never get anything back!
  9. Your right, and I was not getting into how to make decals, because it can be time consuming and fairly expensive by the time you get it right! What i was trying to show is that we strive to build correct models and to be a correct working truck, they need to identification on the doors. I see decals for big trucking companies, but what about the replica of your friends truck at ABC TRUCKING that only owns 1or 2. The decals on these trucks are people I did 1:1's for years ago and still had in the computer. Just thought it would be fun to show what could be done to add realism to the trucks. Trying to hide the fact I can't do airlines, etc.
  10. Well done! Just makes the rest of us work harder!
  11. All you need is a $5000.00 graphics program and 37 years experience! Just kidding, but for the sake of those making & sellind decals, I won't give the secret away. However websites such as decalpaper.com has the instructions and the materials. I will tell you that after a lot of trail and error, 5/8" tall x 1'' wide seems to real well. Design & print a whole sheet or else you lose a lot of material. Just gives the models a little more realism. Have fun!!!!
  12. Some builds that got kicked to the side. Bought decal paper for a drag car project and decided to see how it would work on truck doors. Haven't had time to work on them a lot lately, but I thought I would post them anyway.
  13. Bought one today! Krylon has a biege called "river rock" that comes in flat or gloss, available at wally world.
  14. Late model 4 door dually in any make. So many possibilities. Not much sense in having race rar trailers and nothing to pull 'em with!
  15. Glad to see an article like this, especially the part about middle age men! My wife thinks i"m crazy and my old racing & trucking buddies, when asked what I am doing now and I tell them building model cars (and trucks), It's like "oh, okay...", and then "your doing what?"
  16. Joe, your right! EFI and turbo's have changed the drivability of fast street cars. I lived through the early muslce car era when 12 second street cars were fast, and if you owned an 11 second car (66 nova,RHS 327, 4 speed, 4:56 gears Friday night special), well you were the talk of the town!
  17. Good looking trucks! Ithink I like the white one best. I'm working on a yellow flat top at the moment.
  18. Big difference between street car & streetable car! Let' see it do 70 on the freeway for 25 miles or stop & go at 4 or 5 redlights without filing the plugs!
  19. Ouch Harry! Had to stop & think about that one for a minute. Not claiming any relationship!
  20. 35 years as owner of a small trucking co., collision repair shop doing 80% big trucks, and a sign co. Became disabled in 2008 after 2 heart surgeries, pacemaker-difibb., and back surgery. Still do a litte graphics work to pass the time. Now it seems I'm not qualified for much of anything!
  21. Looking for a car hauler pic last night and found this. One Bad Cad!
