  1. no offense. But no mopar of this era ever had the hood unsulation do e this way. they way youve sbown is a GM style
  2. Ive been out of town all week, But while I was gone several items got delivered. A pair of stock hubcaps for my extra 1960 Lincoln convertible builtup A used chassis from a 1958 Buick dealer promo . I wanted the OE stock wheels for my 58 annual builder,,the rest will go in the round file bin A decent builtup MPC 1969 Coronet RT hardtop last but not least. Finally bit the bullet and bought some storage boxes. I only needed maybe a dozen, But with a cross country move planned in the next 18 months to 2 years. I'll need make good use of them then .
  3. I really like the color choices here. But just as an fyi, there is no carpet on the lower sides of the doors on a 1/1 1968 Charger
  4. Well, if you dont care for it. send it my way and I will be more than happy to dispose of it properly for you.
  5. i like April 26th better
  6. the Hemi car kit doesn't / never had fender well headers . Actually I don't remember ever seeing any Hemi car with fender well headers Im sure I may have a few sets of the Max wedge kit fender well headers ( probably have 8-10 of the cars in various levels of condition ) ps, I dont think the Landy 1962 or 63 Plymouth had fender well headers on it,,,at least I cant see anything Ps, Im not 100% sure if he ever ran a 64 with a max wedge. All the pictures I have on file of his 64 are the Hemi car shown
  7. Roger, which style are you looking for ?
  8. Found this of an old fred cady sheet. It says black interior,,,but am 99% certain the info I found years ago showed it had red interior still looking for more though
  9. I have the same kit ( amongest several other pre-war classic kits ) Ive done this search before myself And have found conflicting info . BUT, this Looks to be an unrestored engine. the article itself http://www.executivestyle.com.au/diamonds-gem-still-sparkles-80-years-on-1lym6
  10. this isnt the monogram body is it
  11. Yes ..it was a real car. Ill ck my files and see if i have any pictures on the pc
  12. If you can,,,make sure they are in fact Cady decals. I've heard rumors of someone making photo copies and selling them on ebay ( its not Southern Motor Sports btw . ) I built this car several years ago with the Lindberg kit and Cady decals . And to this day is one of my favorites
  13. A quickie build so to speak. Painted it a few months ago when it was still warm out. Just simple Testors bright red . Interior is Tamiya deck tan ( Trust me its tan,,,,,,even though it looks grey in these pictures ) Box stock except the rear tires are from my parts box as I didn't care for the same little tires on all 4 corners and some embossing powder for carpet. I left the engine itself out as you cant see it once the car is complete anyway ...so consider it a curbside build This is the ERTL blue printer issue that was molded in red from many years ago. And has been hiding in my stash for far to many years . Its one of my favorites as I used to watch the show religiously when I was a youngster . ( Just noticed I forgot to do the bare metal foil to the window frame. will have tend to that asap )
  14. Thanks fellas. I did a quick google search and found out the buckeye classic is March 18 Jesse, I've already told Randy I want 2 tables for the Cincy Challenge Still haven't found anything on the Hoosier show in Indy
  15. Anyone know of any model shows / swap meets this spring / early summer. ? Maybe even consider some early fall depending on how well sales go Looking from the Columbus Ohio east area And Indianapolis Indiana to the west . and maybe Lexington / Louisville Ky to the south . North I thnk no farther than Dayton Ohio. Basically within about an hours ( 2 tops ) or so drive from Northern Ky Thinking I may want to hit a few this year. Ive decided to try and this down to some degree. Mostly $ 10 to $20 kits produced in the past 20 years or so None of my vintage collector kits are going anywhere . My buying has become extremely selective this past year or so,even bought some modern kits I wish I hadn't .
  16. Very nice. I have one on the workbench right now actually. Body is painted , engine and chassis is done and Ive been trying to decide on an interior color ( not that one can see it anyway thru the red glass )
  17. An old R+R resin copy of the Johan 1969 GTX. I have to admit the body is REALLY nice . My plan is chop the roof off of it to replicate my old car . Probably use the interior and chassis from the AMT version. The resin chassis is so twisted I dont I can even save it anyway.
  18. You didn't have to say THAT. Now I really feel old. It was one of my favorite shows on TV back then . I'm surprised its taken me this long to actually build a model of it.
  19. Agreed I painted the body to mine maybe 2 or 3 months ago. And I think I used plain told testors red . For Interior color I am going with is Tamiya light deck tan with a flat clear top coat A good question is when did the car get the lettering on the doors ? I can find all kinds of pictures with and without it .
  20. Not to rehash an old thread. But I have one of these in paint now. and was doing a google search for info and found this old post In an article I found last night where one of the cars was under going restoration. They stated the original base car they started with was blue, It was initially painted a candy red, but due to filming issues the car was repainted a bright red very early on
  21. to high compared to what ? they didnt have an in the weeds stance I built one and think its pretty close to the 1/1
  22. WOW,,,, Thats perfect. almost as if they were thinking if me many years agao. Ironic part is ,,,in the 1/1 world you use the repop ford horn ring to repair/ restore the often damaged Mopar versions
  23. 1970 Chevelle got me thinking. Ive got an AMT kit in the stash. so went looking for it and I think it might be close enough. Thanks all
  24. Anyone know of a kit containing a steering wheel even close to the one on the right ? Its the optional 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner / GTX rim blow wheel ,, It doesn't have to be 100% dead on, but close enough I can work with it.
