  1. ill probably buy one or two of tbe stock version ....but the afx car ill buy quite a few. Depends on aftermmt decal support
  2. Yep, what is Laser Bond ? And I might be interested is some clear resin lenses in say a pack of 10
  3. You do know pirating pictures of the actual car and calling them your model isn't nice. At least it sure looks real
  4. Thanks. And i edited the title
  5. would be a pretty expensive project to tackle. But i like your thinking
  6. Ps. No mopar underside was ever full body color
  7. A medium grey primer was used by mopar at most everything ...except the LA plant. They used a very very dark grey thats almost black
  8. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your chin up and your attitude even higher.
  9. Steve, If I could give it to you,,I would. Winter time is my slow time. So I seem to get more bench time. And remember, there isn't much detail to these old annuals. The chassis is just spray bombed a semi gloss black and I detail paint the tail pipes and gas tanks only ,,even then only if I they hang low enough I can see them once its in my case. Plus ,,and keep in mind bud I don't build anywhere near your level. This is another one where I saw the real car for inspiration 1st long before the model was ever on the bench. And while perusing my local hobby shops paint rack I spotted the color and I knew exactly what to use it on. Thanks all for the kind words,I really appreciate it . I am super happy with how it turned out.
  10. Another Ebay buy. Original issue 1963 Ford Galaxie convertible builtup. I need a top boot if anyone has one avail
  11. I use the new improved chrome version with no issues
  12. I love it Odd as it sounds the light yellow with white interior works well together in the 1/1 world . Actually I looked at a real 69 B,Cuda fastback this summer at the Mopar Nats in this exact same color combo.
  13. Few more
  14. Well, I can honestly say this one is finished. Original issue AMT annual kit that was a completely untouched near mint kit when I got it. But ,,,,, I buy to build not collect dust. And this one was no exception. With it having been made the same year I was ,,, It's been on my short list since the day I got it last year. Painted in Tamiya Light Coral turquoise with 3 coats of Testors wet look clear on top with a 2 tone turquoise and white interior and I used embossing powder to replicate the carpeting. Body inserts are done with Tamiya Pure white then the spears were brush painted with Testors magnesuim buffing metalizer then buffed down to get the look I was after. I also used AMT parts pack wide white wall tires in place the rock hard originals, otherwise all box stock ( Hood doesn't open on these old kits ) . All the emblems were foiled before any paint went on then cleaned off with a fine point Tamiya cotton swab before the clear coats were applied . ( so many thanks for the tip Steve ) Comments or criticisms more than welcome. Thanks for looking in.
  15. Cool. But didnt Ford actually build two Boss 9 Cougars...that eventually were retaged as 1970 models.
  16. Racer X was the 1st thing i thought when i opened the post. Kind of neat looking little car
  17. A Johan 1962 Chrysler 300 hardtop. Going to be a parts car
  18. Should Revell make it ? I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer that. My gut says there waiting to see how well the Foose Ford truck does before thinking about anything else Foose But if they did make it,,,, I wouldn't buy it. IMO the thin bumpers ruins it
  19. I use one of these exclusively for BMF work. Just the weight of the tool is all it needs. and like mentioned . It gets a new blade every time I start any BMF work . Main reason I like it , its retractable. And I have a couple of them as well as a couple regular #11 blade knives
  20. I like it and $30 was a good buy. And if the convertibles are everywhere ,,,I'll take another 1,,,,,or 2 or 3. I have an unbuilt 1960 convertible in the box and I keep looking for a builder that's clean but all I find are ones with all the goofy custom stuff glued all over it. Regardless its probably going to be a while before I even think about starting it ,,,but I bought it to build not collect dust . so someday. My 59 kit was also a near mint in the box kit ( its not anymore )
  21. Started the bare metal foil work. Inserts are painted with Magnesium buffing metallizer. I wanted something darker than plain silver or steel color. The color looks like a washed out black on my monitor ,,,but the isn't as dark in person as these pics makes it out to be . But this is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
  22. Yep.as soon as i hit reply. I thought about the red small blocks
  23. 1967 v8 engines were turquouse , regardless of size - ac or not . EXCEPT a 426 Hemi , they were all Hemi orange
  24. Absolutely outstanding. The display just takes it up a notch Well done
  25. A small update. Had a little bench time this morning waiting for the garage to warm up ( working on a 1/1 car ) so I taped it up and sprayed the white inserts in Tamiya Pure white . Then 2 coats Testors wet look clear.
