  1. I did some looking some ago about the same car. This is all I have
  2. Now that is a FED kit I might consider purchasing to actually build instead of using as a parts kit
  3. The Camaro ( sorry had to edit the picture )
  4. Not today but early last week I think,,,,and I have NO idea what year it was. But a very nice looking Porsche,,I think it was a 356 maybe early to mid 60's model year time frame a few weeks ago there was a bright pink late model camaro cruising along side me Just did a google images search ,,,,,, and the Porsche looked a lot like this one
  5. I don't think it really matters when it comes to a Mag. All the wires exit the body in one place
  6. take a 12" long piece of an old ( or new ) 2x4 . drill some 1/8" holes in the wide side of it 2 each along each side spaced about 3 or 4" apart, Take 2 old metal clothes hangers and bend them up the shape of a U. insert the ends of said hanger in the holes on the board. now bend the top edge of said hangers to to stick outwards. Voila,,instant paint stand to do bodies. not mine but something like this
  7. Ok, I want to get started on a couple of the 1970 Cuda Pro stock kits this winter. And I cant get past the grossly incorrect ft tires in the kit. Is there a source for an accuarte ft tire for the early 70's cars? Just looked on Speed City's site and they are closer but not quite 100% for want I want
  8. I like the looks and idea of the open chute pack. Canards wings not so much. IMO, the canard wings add to much width to the body. I think they look good on a Vega FC, ( it's a longer and narrower body ) on a Dart shell ,,not so much. BUT,, I say do it if YOU like them
  9. If you want an accurate 1970 Challenger ,,IMO, this is the only route to take. The Revell / Monogram kit is 1/24th and if you can live with the scale of it, it does build into a nice looking kit And the AMT 1/25th kit is just wrong
  10. Couldn't agree more. Well said
  11. I have the altered wheelbase 1965 Plymouth sedan. and I have the altered wheelbase hardtop from Speed City Resin.' The Speed City piece is light years ahead of the MCW body ( Speed City Resin body shown )
  12. Love it. exterior color combo looks nice,,,I have actually been looking more for these old 50's Johan promo for my own to do pile all because of your builds ( like i need that to get any bigger ) ( btw, don't look now but I think your rear bumper is loose )
  13. I think your dark sections are a tad to dark,,,otherwise so far so good. The interior colors of this build are the hardest part to do ,,,I built one and don't want to do another
  14. To me the roof looks like it needs to be extended towards the rear and down just a smidge. BUT, I'll be brutally honest if NOTHING gets changed I'll buy a half dozen of them . It looks that good to me. Is it safe to say the center cap lettering will be added in the final tool stage ?
  15. IMO, the top was originally a light tan, with maybe the interior and even lighter shade of tan. Dash was most definitly a tan or gold color. And in some pics the steering wheel looks black , some it looks tan
  16. Very cool. Car makes I've never heard of in there. Thanks for th pics
  17. Actually , other than the name on the door not much of the lettering is the same between the 2 cars the red car was sponsored by Saddleback Dodge And the blue car was sponsored by Crenshaw Dodge,,,OR Atlantic Dodge dealers sponsored. ps, I 've often wondered if both the red/silver 69 and the blue/silver 68 were actually one and the same,,just updated / repainted for new model year changes . my apologies to the op for the hijack
  18. It is ,,it's all plastic. And thanks, but I didn't build it. I just did some repairs and put it in the case . so I can't take full credit for it
  19. privately done . - Mantaray Factory done - the Lincoln Futura
  20. I for one would really like to see the decals become avail to do both of Charlie Allens 1968 cars. There was a SS in addition to the AA/FC This is the builtup I have. to be honest I bought it as a mostly done car, just did some touchup work and minor re-assembly on it and put it in the case. I have a 2nd one in decent shape along with a Resin 68 Body to do the blue car if/when the decals become avail ..( I have my fingers crossed ) This is one of my all time favorite cars so I plan to keep close tabs on this thread
  21. Btw, This is one of my holy grail kits as well. And have a builtup in the case
  22. ps, the grille your installing is for a 1968 ( round turn signal lenses ) , which for the Charlie Allen car is the blue and silver car. and as far as I know,,,no one makes decals to replicate the blue car. The red 1969 car has rectangular turn signal lenses
  23. FYI, to bump up an old thread I was in Smyths Automotive yesterday ( local auto parts chain ) and they had Wimbelton White in the Duplicolor rattle cans on the shelf . so I picked up 2 cans and plan is get a few bodies painted in the next few weeks . I want to do the Conner Ford and Archway Ford cars first
