  1. I am not the seller or the winning bidder . But I am in shock. http://cgi.ebay.com/...cvip=true&rt=nc I have a nice builtup for temporary loan if someone wants to step up
  2. Started this one a good while back. And it still sits unfinished on the shelf. Maybe someday. The car it's to relicate was sold nearly 6 years ago. Original 1970 issue MPC body and interior , with the newer AMT undercarriage added for greater detail. Engine is from the AMT 1971 Duster kit
  3. Is there one avail. Friend of mine wants model of his car
  4. Any old funny car gets my attention. waiting,,,,,,,waiting,,,,,,,,,,waiting. Are you done yet ??????
  5. These body styles look so cool slammed with some fatties under them.
  6. so far Missing link and Modelhause are at the top of my list for EXCELLANT quality. Jimmy Flintstone and R+R are at the bottom revised, I was out of the hobby for a while. so I have not followed the advancements of the aftermkt very closely. But Modelhaus is still the benchmark by which all others are measured. Missing link is extremely close and will become an aftermkt source to be reckoned with. R+R along with Flintstone and , although generally cheaper,,,, seem to be the ones no one wants to be compared to .Why ????? I personally would prefer to pay more and receive a better quality piece from the getgo. I recently received a resin kit from RMR and although it's not a Modelhaus quality, I think it deserves to be somewhere in the middle. Price wise it wasn't much more than a R+R kit,but the quality was considerably better. The Jimmy Flintstome piece I received was just a body, Yea it was cheap price wise ,, and it looks it. So I guess quality IS reflected in price. I am going to get a MCW body and compare then decide to make my own or not ( it's a 64 Plymouth btw) Based on what I have, if I need something JK has, I want to see it in person first. I also have a few AFX N Scale bodies , quality wise is not bad , reputation though on the other hand has gone down hill. Another good one to deal with is Compitition Resins, it's just a funnycar body but the quality was up there with the best on them I also have a Reliable Resin body , same deal it's a nice piece similar with CR and I would from both again without question
  7. I have both the 1932 and 1933 Chrysler Imperial kits.
  8. When I started in the online comunity. I owned at that time a,,1969 GTX convertible and a 1970 Dodge Challenger I just shortened the accronym. My avatar is because I love the old drag cars from the sixties and I think the shot just screams of the time period Out of one of my all time favorite cars
  9. patiance grasshopper, good things come to those who practice. You'll get there Just keep it up. you'll do fine
  10. Thanks, Thats what I was afraid of .all I could find was 1961 Bonneville kits Sorry 1/18th scale is a no go for me. I prefer to keep everything at 1/25th scale if at all possibile I will look into the MCW body
  11. I'm in no way familair with early Pontiacs .And I want to do this one. So I have to ask, is this a 1961 Catalina or 1961 Bonneville ? http://www.decalsbyl...rs_of_1961.html If it's a Catalina was there ever a 1/25th scale version back it the day ?, as all I can find are 1961 Bonneville kits
  12. That was cool to watch.
  13. similar concept - just in 1/1 scale http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7038401&an=0&page=0#Post7038401
  14. My opinion only, build it the way YOU like it. Me personally I don't think the car looks all that good in that color, darker wheels might help, but I doubt it

  16. A bit of insperation if your so inclined.
  17. Tables raised and rope off about 2 ft outside the edges of the tables to keep prying hands off. LOTS of 'Don't touch ' signs .
  18. Not to hijack the thread but these are what I think would be good There were avail in the past but I talked to the caster and the mold is now bad with no intention to repair it at this time I already have an RMR resin cab,,, bit it's only a 1/2 ton cab style
  19. I've been to Meadowbrook Hall once several years back, and the Concours d'elegance at Ault Park in Cincinnati Oh. several times. To anyone . If you've never been to a show of this caliber ,,,go. You WILL be amazed and what you see there . Thanks for the link btw
  20. Just to touch an actual original GT40 is on my bucket list, to ride in would make a dream a reality These cars had but one purpose in life,,,,,,,,win races. with Lemans as the primary target
  21. ANY hobby can be 'as expensive' or 'as cheap' as YOU want it to be. I have thousands of dollars invested in model kits and supplies , Could I ge tback out of them what I have invested????, I seriously doubt it. My daughter is taking an interest in models with me and that alone is worth EVERY dime I have invested so far. We finished her 1st glue kit a week or so ago, and it was one of the clear car trailer kits for her snap kit Polar Lights 65 Dodge in so she can put behind her snap kit Dodge ram pickup. She is happy with it, so I am to.
  22. In most cases at the contests I used to attend ,,,,,slick and shiny would win out every time
  23. Thanks Chuck, I need to proof read my typing better, I knew it was the 70 and somehow typed 71 . And thanks, I wasn't aware Slixx was doing the 1970 flame car sheet. And I have a cady sheet for the 71 but I think it's scaled more for a 1/24th scale body ?????? plus I have a couple of the Harts Parts resin 71 challenger conversions and using the lindberg body over the AMT comglomeration might be a better option,, at least for me anyway . Although I seem to be staying more in the mid sixties era cars at the moment so god only knows when I'll get back into a 70's era kick
  24. For now , Polar lights Funnycars - split between the Charger and the Barrauda kits I have maybe 5 - 6 done and another 8 -10 or so on the shelf. Then it's the Lindberg 1964 Dodge. I have 3 done now and 2 more in the works with about 12 -14 more unbuilts on the shelf with another 6-8 of the Lindberg 1964 Plymouths Followed by the Revell 64 Thunderbolt with 2 done with maybe 6 - 8 unbuilts on the shelf. I have about a dozen of the AMT 62 belairs to do but only 1 done. All vintage drag car projects.
  25. I think this is it . I may order one to be sure. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130682949902?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
