No, or least not since the model year requested Builders show up fairly regularly on the bay , but be prepaired to spend some coin if it's nice one

Have you priced a gallon of paint lately? $150 will not buy anything worth a chit. Ps, I don't remember what I paid for paint WAY back then. I do good to remember what I had for dinner last night. I think back when I got into models,(mid -late 60's time frame ) kits were under $1 , no more than $2

You have my attention. I've been thinking about this very build ever since the recent gremlin kit was released. Thanks for the tip about the ft bumper, I have an old builtup funny gremlin in the parts box . Now you got me thinking. I wonder if the firefighter mustang chassis will work under one of these new Gremlins?????????

VERY nice. I wasn't aware he ran a gold colored car .

These were cool cars. I had the pleasure of seeing one running/ driving around the Mopar Nats several years back . It sounds like a hair dryer on steriods when pulling away from a stop. But you can hardly hear it running at idle. Lots of info here btw. www.turbinecar.com

personally, I'm not a fan of the promod cars so the subject doesn't nothing for me. . But I will say wow, this thing looks incredible and I'm amazed on the speed in which it's come together. You can't possibly be married or have kids. My hats off to ya.btw Also, how do you attach the small brass brackets and such to a what I assume is a plastic frame work and hope they stay there once completed ?

Thats what I would use. It'll actually brighten up the black cabinet some when light hits it -
Yes, Bought them off ebay about 2 weeks ago exactly as shown . The promo I have no interest to keep ( already re-listed it ) I've been on the lookout for 1963 Johan Dodge kits / builders for a while. And they seem to typically pull more $$$$ than I'm willing to spend. But this one wasn't to bad on the wallet.. I paid about $80 for the pair, What I end up having in it ???,,, depends on what the promo re-sells for. this one gives me 2 kits/builders. 1st one I bought a looooong time ago and I think I paid $35 for it back then.

Hillborn injector butterfly linkage setup?
gtx6970 replied to skymnky721's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Here is a picture of a 1-1 if it'll help they were not real complicated. just a center bell crank to control the shafts where they go thru all four injector bases -
IMO , if your getting paid to build, your a pro. ALTHOUGH , that doesn't mean your good.

A little insperation for ya. It's one of my all time favorite cars. This is an old Good Stuff body/kit.( it's been done quite some time )

Speed City does both grilles. BUT, I think it's based on the old AMT body. The Polar Lights grille will NOT interchange with the AMT grille. http://speedcityresin.com/65CoronetFront.jpg

Post man dropped these off today.( auction was for them both ) Kit is a builder and stays with me. Johan 1963 Dodge Polara , kit and a distressed promo Promo is going to get flipped and go away.

I never said it was undesirable, it just doesn't have the popularity the earlier 68-70 B-body cars do. And I'm not saying an all new tool to do one would be a loosing proposition for model manufacturers. But an all new tool of say a 1970 Road runner would be a better money maker

WOW, Nice looking build. I was just thinking about this very car a couple days ago and was wondering if there was ever a 1/25th scale kit of it( I have the metal open cockpit car........Franklin mint maybe ?) I never knew the closed car was a non running clay mockup.

Thnks for all the kind words. I appreciate it. Thanks, It's just set back together for now to keep all the pieces in one place. Plan is to take it apart maybe this fall/winter and actually glue it all back together then give it to the 1-1 cars owner as a Xmas gift. He's a really good friend of mine and has been for years.

1-1 , I like and can appreciate them all ,,, from OE stock to street rods. But I raraly walk thru the race car pits at a 1-1 show. But for myself to own I like the OE stock look. Maybe not to a full blown right valve stem cap type of car. But it has to look stock the average people looking at it. Weird part is, in modeling I hardly ever build anything replica stock. 90% or better is old drag cars
