Take a look: 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL 390 V8 par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity You just need to add a bit of foil, and it will be perfect!!
-
Great looking Fairlane!! Loved the color choice and the tire/wheel choice as well. You just have to foil the rest of the windshield pillar, because on the real car it's wrapped on a stainless steal trim, like a '65 or '66 Galaxie.

Well, I was feeling kind of sad about GM. Last year I built a grand total of none, zero, nada, nenhum, GM product. Soooo, last Friday I was at my local hobby shop for some paint and walking among all the Tamiya and Revell kits of modern Japanese and European cars that are all what people here loves (not my cup of tea) when I saw something nice almost hiding in the shelf: A brand new re-release of the AMT Buick Electra 225!!!! Oh my, a real car in the middle of all that less desirable stuff. Even not being a Ford, I grabbed that box already thinking "it's mine, this is the only nice kit here, and it's mine (insert evil laugh here)" Got my paint, my 225 and went home. Not only a nice car, but also the kind of kit I find to be the absolute best: AMT 1960s tooling with metal axles!!! There is an engine to build, but there are not many parts at all to be a pain, and four little screws keep the chassis attached to the body. It can't get any better than this, in my opinion, of course. I built the Buick all original, and painted it with two cans of Tamiya TS-14. painted the interior dark sea blue, to give it a classy look, some detail paint here and there and some BMF here and there and voilá, it was done!! No complications. Hope you guys like my Buick Electra, all the 225 scale inches of it!!! 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1962 Buick Electra 225 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

Thank you guys!! Very appreciated!! The color on the '65 is Prairie Bronze, ans the '66 is Emberglo

Great car, and great paint. Really, really ugly wheels. Are those black details around them "tires"??

A friend of mine asked me to post this comparing pictures. Don't want to bore you guys with my old builds, and if I did so, please excuse me. Both cars are AMT models painted in correct FoMoCo colors. I'm working on a new build also, and it's NOT a Ford!!!! Thanks guys!! This year Galaxie is among the very last ones, as production stopped in 1983. The very first ones, manufactured in 1966 as 1967 models are just a '66 U.S. Galaxie. Harry, what about a engine picture and a underside picture? Just because it's small you are not getting out of this with just two pictures, no way!!! And stop crying already, you did a great job on the Jag, tiny and all

She was known as the white rose of Stalingrad. She has 12 confirmed kills, at least more four shared, and over 20 unconfirmed. She won several commendations lie follows: Hero of the Soviet Union; Order of the Red Banner; Order of the Red Star; Order of the Patriotic War (twice). Instant Gratification: AMT's 1958 Edsel Pacer Prepaint
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Lovefordgalaxie's topic in Model Cars
Thanks!! I used Revell/Monogram tires with separate whitewalls. If I remember well they came from a incomplete 1959 Chevy Impala kit. -
whats exotic?

Exotic is a build I would jump out in a heartbeat. -
Instant Gratification: AMT's 1958 Edsel Pacer Prepaint
Lovefordgalaxie replied to Lovefordgalaxie's topic in Model Cars
Thanks guys!! This one is mine fourth Edsel. 5th if you consider a Dambury Mint Edsel Bermuda. On the paint job, a bit of luck is indeed necessary. I have another, unbuilt in the box, and that one has a big piece of dust embedded on the paint of the roof. Another drawback would be the mold lines that are showing, but the kit looks good when done. -
Built this Edsel a while ago. It only took me about an afternoon to finish. It's a prepainted model, and the paint is not bad, but you have to be lucky with the paint quality, not all are this nice. I only replaced the tires as I didn't like the ones on the kit, foiled the chrome trim that was painted silver, wired the engine, and added a tow ball. 1958 Edsel pacer Prepaint par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity 1958 Edsel pacer Prepaint par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity 1958 Edsel pacer Prepaint par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity Towing Job par Túlio Lazzaroni Lovefordgalaxie, on ipernity

I'll tell you my opinion on this, so you can hear what an actual communist thinks about this. Why did most U.S. companies moved production to China? First: To go around having to pay benefits an decent remunerations to domestic workers, what would "elevate" the cost of the product (according to them) Second: Since the death of Mao, China is no longer Communist. The very fact of selling their work force for cheap to capitalist countries is proof of that. You who did read Marx Angels and Lenin will get to the conclusion that China is a very fake Socialist country. Even the CCCP (Soviet Union) never reached the state of full Communism. We can blame Stalin for this. but that's another story. The fact is: The American worker was able to conquest a lot of rights over the time, and it costed a lot. Class struggle, the formation of unions, and lot's of fight was needed to ensure the right to vacation, to a limited work journey, to health insurance, to benefits, etc. This is very costly to the employer that don't want to see his profit to go down. What does the employer do? Moves the production to a place where work is for cheap, so he can keep the selling price, and not only avoid diminishing profits, but actually to have them going up to the roof. If I'm sorry for DM? NO. I'm waiting for the Chinese versions of their models to arrive, so I can buy a bunch. maybe the next time they start over, if they ever do, they'll learn that less profit with domestic workers is actually better, both for them and for the workers.

This is looking awesome!!! That top alone would drive me crazy... And parts would fly.

This one is a old goal I have, to build a model of a 1982 Galaxie. I don't have the skills yet. The car shown is mine 1982 Galaxie Landau. It's all original, with factory paint in acrylic enamel metallic, factory vinyl roof, factory upholstery, never used spare, and about 46 K miles from new.
