  1. Looking great!! With the opening doors, it shouldn't be difficult to reinstall the windshield. A curiosity about this kit is the inside mirror, that one may think is absent, as it's not a chrome part, nor it's mentioned on the instructions, but the part is there Nº42.
  2. Very nicely done. Great color too!!
  3. Gracias!!! Having a guaraná right now... Let's have some Brahma beer!! Thanks!!! Thank you!! The Titanic is a Academy kit, in 1/700 scale, that has lights. Cool little kit.
  4. There is some '38 Ford there, some Zephyr, some Tatra and even some VW Beetle. Nice looking custom tough.
  5. They are all great, but I'm partial to the '57.
  6. Love your taste and great craftsmanship!! That Bronco, oh boy. I HAVE to get one of those.
  7. WOW!!!! That's a heluvapaintjob!!!!
  8. I wish I could have such a slow year. Quality is over the top.
  9. Awesome builds!! Hooters, I like that...
  10. Le crème de la crème in building quality and craftsmanship!!!
  11. Thank you gentlemen!! Your comments are very appreciated.
  12. Looking good Geoff. Have this kit, the only part I don't like are the tires, with tiny whitewalls.
  13. OK, here we are again. Many just hate those threads, I love them, as I have a chance to see stuff I could have missed during the year, as sometimes work keeps me away from the net during a few weeks or even a month. When I was reuniting the pictures, I realized I built a lot of cars this year, and even managed to build a ship!! Pretty cool!!! Anyway, here they are: 01- 1940 Ford V8 Business Coupe in Lyon Blue, built for my cousin Marcelo: 02- After building that Ford, I had the idea os building one '40 Ford in every color available for the Business Coupe (non Deluxe). Since I had built the car in black in 2017, I was missing Lyon Blue and Cloudmist Gray. Here is the '40 Ford Business Coupe in Lyon Blue I built for me. The build happened at the same time I built my cousin's car: 03- Ford 1940 Business Coupe in Cloudmist Gray: All three colors available for the 1940 Ford Business Coupe V8: 04- 1948 Ford Custom Coupe: 05- 1948 Ford Custom Coupe restored from parts car: 06- 1930 Ford Station Wagon: 07- 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria: 08- 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner in Coral Flame Red: 09- 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner in Timberline Green: 10- 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner in Majestic Marrom: 11- 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Inca Gold with Raven Black top: 12- 1940 Ford Business Coupe daily driver: 13- 1953 Ford Sunliner Hot Rod: 14- R.M.S. Titanic: 15- 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria: And that's all folks!!
  14. Done during a hurricane? That's pretty good.
  15. I love it!! It's going to be a knock out for sure. By the way, the position the headlight reflectors are on the pictures, is it their definitive place? That is the only issue I have with this kit, the headlight lenses are way way too thick. If sanded from behind, the lenses will loose all the texture that imitates the sealed beam glass, and become useless. On the first '56 Fairlane I built I was not able to use the kit's lenses, as the glass would protrude out of the headlight doors about 2mm. Used the lenses from a Revell '48 Ford Custom Coupe, and they fit perfect. If you do a mock up with the chrome reflectors where they are, and the kit's headlight glass, you will see what I'm saying. At this point, with the paint looking so great, I would use headlight glass from another kit, instead of sanding the originals and having just clear lenses over the reflectors.
  16. Nice work done on those models. Almost at the level of what is done in museums to restore and preserve artifacts. For some, those are just old ugly customs, but I think they are artifacts of historic value. It's like opening a window to the dining table covered in newspapers, or the garage bench way back in 196* when a young man, or a young man and his dad were into painting one of those little car kits.
  17. Yes, the part on the AMT '57 kind of weird. I plan on building a replica of my '74 Galaxie, but my scratchbuilding skills are terrible. The '66 Galaxie four door sedan was made here from mid '66 (as a '67 model) to 1983. The cars changed over the years, with different trim, different front and rear ands, and accessory levels, but even on a 1983 Landau the '66 Galaxie is easy to spot.
  18. Thanks!! AMT also did something similar with the '57 Ford kit, that has part of a Canadian grille included in the kit. I don't like to work with resin, but was tempted by a '56 Meteor body I saw on Brazilian e-Bay a while ago. It was way too expensive, and just by the pictures it would require a lot of work, but I even added it to my favorites. When I finally decided to buy it, the ad was gone.
  19. Very nice!! It has the '60s feeling for sure. Also, great work on the paint!! A firm hand for sure!! I would never be able to paint those lines with the airbrush, the result would be all wavy.
  20. WOW!! That looks real nice!! You should make a post of this model, with more pictures. I'm partial to the old IMC kits, as I had a lot of fun building a '48 Ford. A IMC '48 also was one of the first three models I ever built when I was 7 years old. I managed to finish it, and the doors would even open, but the paint was all brushed on, and it had glue marks all over... The one I built about three years ago is way better.
