  1. I've used nearly all the above, plus crimp beads for guage bezels. This is an awesome thread. There are times I will go to the craft store just to wander the aisles for ideas. One of my favorite uses is the 1/8th ribbon for seat belts and velvet ribbon (2.5 inches wide) for headliners and carpet. The caveat on the velvet ribbon is they usually only have it at Christmastime.
  2. I do use them for mixing every great now and then, but more often or not i'll just go down to the shop and have them mix it for me. That eliminates the possibility of me screwing it up.
  3. And a really big bottle of vitamin E! Honestly though, I never heard of these guys but it is an awesome tune. I'll have to look up more of thier stuff.
  4. Bill if that were the case I'd have one for ecery day of the week!
  5. No worries. Getting the 42's done this evening.
  6. I like that low-pro hood scoop alot!
  7. I have to agree with Skip here. They should be visible just fine, especially in that scale. If you are dead set to do it I would paint flat white to begin with. Then outline them with a mechanical pencil and coat again until the effect you want is achieved.
  8. Dickie-do and the Dont's?
  9. Paul Revere and the Raiders?
  10. Number one, if you don't care, why do you keep bothering to post here? Number two, I asked you to take your hatefull and arrogant attitude and keep it out of my threads. That's as nasty as I got. Nowhere near as nasty as you are being. Nobody here is whining. Am I upset? You betcha! So I warned my friends here about it so they would know if an odd e-mail comes in from me. You see that's the intelligent, helpful thing to do. What you are doing is being a troll and trying to incite a flame war. Against board rules. I would suggest you grow up a little and learn to keep your mouth shut and out of other peoples business where it doesn't belong!
  11. Thank you Johnathan, but I should have taken time to explain further. I've made alot of decals over the years in fact I'm on a break from designing some decals right now. Testor's decal paper tends to do one of two things. If it doesn't desintegrate in the water, odds are it will roll up on you before it ever gets to the model. Sadly the only way to avoid this is to bury the paper in heavy coats of clear which in most cases will make it too thick. I do wish good luck on you Clayton. If you are succesfull let us know and post a pic if you can.
  12. Nosir, I do not do skype. I just found out from a source on another board that he was hacked and his e-mails were being read...by YAHOO themselves! I'm ready to close up shop and go offline for good.
  13. ROCK ON Clyde! Those have a great start on them and I can't wait to see them finished.
  14. Johnathan, When something like this happens, the safest bet is that the person who has been hacked is upset and angry. It's a sickening invasion of privacy. Nowhere near as bad as home invasion or being mugged on the street, but still an anger building situation nonetheless. Always temper responses to such things with good judgement. I understand you were joking and meant no ill. The fact remains that at this point in time I am NOT in a joking mood. Some creep all the way in Nigeria has had access not only to my e-mail account but most likely my computer itself. Passwords are now all changed, but it doesn't wipe away the fact that someone invaded my privacy in one of the most egregious ways possible, and could still get into my e-mails and more.
  15. I'm glad someone can laugh about it. My bank account is now in jeapordy as well as my paypal.
  16. Although he used the Sattelite hoods, Richard always identified this car as a Roadrunner.
  17. To all my friends here who have contact with me directly through my e-mail, please let me know if you recieve any oddball e-mails from my address. I have been hacked by some jerk in Nigeria! I guess I shouldn't have refused all those winnings!
  18. No apologies necessary. I messed up too by not putting a question mark at the end of that for one. I also went back to the beginning to see if I was screwed up. I know you won't believe this...but I myself have mixed up threads before...
  19. I'm in agreement...sort of...I think. Just because I don't like a particular car doesn't mean it offends me that someone else does. I quote Peter Griffin- "I may not like what you say sir, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it!"
  20. As I understand the question, whether or not it is done in kit form is not the point. I thought this was just about what cars "Plane" (plain) nailed it.
  21. I have a year and two months under my belt. It does get easier.
  22. For me it's just about anything from the seventies.
  23. Best advice I can give is to use any other decal paper than testor's junk.
