engmecwilson Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 First time I saw this kit was at a friend´s house and after this I pursued it for almost two years...as soon as it arrived I started to build. Kit doesn´t have mirror and wipers, so I added them to look more closely to real one.
aurfalien Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Wow how very cool. Quite the subject matter. It does reflect 70's design culture for sure.
TFchronos Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Now that's a cool and unusual car, very nicely done!
Matt Bacon Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Looks fantastic, though personally I wouldn't have gone for the bonnet decal. Those lines look great really stark, and simple... bestest, M.
sjordan2 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I've been enjoying seeing your excellent work on cars that are seldom seen here, some of which I didn't know were available in kits.
carl63_99 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 WOW! Very nice work on a subject you don't see every day! Think about driving that around Texas on a hot August afternoon!
Harry P. Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Very unusual. Nice job on that, although I agree the decal on the hood was a mistake.
GrumpyGrowly Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Very cool, I'll be looking for a kit for myself.
engmecwilson Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Dominik, it´s 1:24...the decal on hood was intentioned to make the car more different that it already is.....hehe Thank you all, guys....I am enjoying a lot seeing many great builds on this section. It inspires me to go to the bench and increase production.
khier Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I built it several years ago. Magnificint car, but an awful kit, both accuracy and quality wise sadly. I hope the 1/16 (Revell) and 1/20 (Do not remember) Versions, which I have not built yet, are better. However, I like your color choice. I tried to follow the instructions with a green shade which ended in a disaster. Anyway, I do not regret it since the kit is terrible, as mentioned earlier.
Plastheniker Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Very nice and clean result. I agree, removing the large decal would make it even more attractive. I am sure that I once (70s or 80s) had an unbuilt Eidai Grip 1/24 kit of the Boomerang. Maybe Airfix bought these tools? I think at the same time there were also kits in 1/20 and in 1/16 made by Fujimi and Aoshima, but I am not really sure about the manufactures.
