Since I have to wait awhile till the paint is dry on the Lincoln I needed another project to do. Grabbed this from my Cobra stash. No hood scoop and no roll bar but with side pipes. Have not done a Cobra for awhile so figured it was time.

Ah yes, the Monogram 427 with the wire wheels they never had! Don't know who decided this was a good idea. Some sunbursts would have been nice or even some of the FIA wheels early 427s used, but no, we tool up wires that are poor and were never used!

CobraMan,I thought something in the 1/16 size was coming our way? Oh well I guess I'll have to wait a little longer suppose, although I started this kit a while ago, I think I asked you to (sacrifice some of your precious parts ) lol! Good luck I'll be rooting y'a on! Shaun

The 1/16 is still in the works. What parts did you need ? If I have extras I would be happy to let you have them but most of what I have in the way of Cobra stuff is in sealed kits.

Made some headway on the Cobra. Stripped the chrome off of a few parts. I have the body cleaned up and in primer. I have the dash gauges drilled out.

That will look sharp! Mine is based off a pic I saw on the web. Everything on the whole car will be a type of black. Gloss/ satin/ flat. With just a hint of red or orange here or there.

No stripes , no scoop , no roll bar . . . everybody is going to be surprised how good a Cobra looks like that ! :)

Here is where I am with this one. Should shoot some clear early next week. I know tires still need to be sanded and nips removed.

That looks tough!!

Just out of curiostiy how do the wire wheels in that kit look? Looking for a set of crosslaced wires for a future project..
