Scale-Master Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Copy of a good friends car as was about 1969-70. I modified the Revell 67 Camaro 396 SS into this 327 non-SS in Le Mans Blue with the D90 stripes. I made the Baldwin Motion hood from a combination of the kit hood and a resin copy from a 67 Corvette. Wheels and tires are resin items I cast. Dragline Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 (edited) Now that is a purty car. I am certain your friend is either thrilled or soon will be. Well done.... Where did you get the door handles? I bought some recently and was interested in where you got yours.... Edited June 30, 2015 by Dragline
Belugawrx Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Beautifully done Mark I really like the bumperless look Nice Cheers
Scale-Master Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Thanks guys. I think he will be pleased with it. He was very proud of the car and I think he had to let it go when he started a family. The door handles come in the Revell '67 Camaro kit.
mikemodeler Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 You nailed another one Mark, great job! I was watching this one as you built it, maybe I can get motivated to finish a couple of Camaro WIPs I have.
gardnerpag44 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Super clean & very well built , I really like this you captured the Camaro at it's best
bogger44 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Good lord that is an amazing and tough looking Camaro, your friend had a killer ride. Your work is nothing short of superb, many congrats.
christian-w Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I just read the whole WIP. Your work is amazing. What I like best: the trim around the windows. This looks so realistic! Overall it's a very nice model. At the end I'd like to see a picture of the model with it's original Camaro. This would be cool
Scale-Master Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Thanks guys! The real car is long gone, it was traded in on a Pinto when they came out by his ex-wife. I never saw the car in person.I had one photo of the car to work from and a ton of notes about the details I took down from the owner. He inspected it yesterday and it passed with flying colors.
crowe-t Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Beautiful transformation into a '68! '68 is by far my favorite year Camaro and also my favorite car too! Edited July 1, 2015 by crowe-t
