Brianl Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This will be in the style of a 60's custom. Most of the parts are hand me downs from a mate The body is a little lower & raked. The bed is shortened & raked to match. Both bits are moved back a little to fit the old hemi behind my favourite track nose. Widend the rear guards, often wondered what to do with those unused fender sets! Initial mockup Widening the guards Guard extensions done & dusted Checking rake, stance & proportions Comments welcome Thanks Brian
gardnerpag44 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This is looking sweet , nice work on the fenders
wayne swayze Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I really like this! It should be very cool when done.
John Goschke Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This is looking terrific! Nice work on the fender widening. The basic concept reminds me of this old build in my collection done by a kid in the early '60s...
Brianl Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 Thank you gentlemenJohn, your rod is exactly the style I'm looking for!!Only thing is I spent hours deciding between a bench seat of buckets & went for the bench as I thought it more correct. Looking at yours, I think I'll go dig out the buckets again. Thanks againBrian
bpletcher55 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I like this cool idea , looking foreword to seeing how this go,s
bobthehobbyguy Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Cool. Great start. As said nice work on the fenders.
Silver Foxx Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Looking great Brian , another classy build in the making .
horsepower Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Very cool, I like your idea, just a thought, have you considered cutting the cowl loose along the front of the door post line and tipping it rearward until the firewall is vertical, it might make the front of the body to appear even more channeled than it is, and would improve the lines when viewed from the side, and would also make mounting a hood a lot easier. Keep up your good work.
