ford514
Saw how well everyone's moebius f100s are coming so I decided to join the band wagon. Started with a drawing I did of a 69 F100. Edited July 24, 2015 by ford514
ford514
I knew I wanted to lower it and use bigger wheels. Had to have a big V8 motor and IFS instead of the twin I beams. Went to my parts box and found a 428 I had from the Revell Thunderbolt with the headers, found some bigger wheels and tires that I planed to cut the wheel piece out, found a bomb from something, and a set of 69 mustang seats, and then the hood from a 78 f150. Then got to work. Still have the center of the bed to modify for the chassis mods. Then got to work making the bomb fit the bed, it'll be the air tank for the air ride suspension. ford514
Got a few more hours into this. Built a few things. New door panels to go with the custom interior, using '69 Torino seats (same as 69/70 mustangs) modified the frame to lower it, and the bed floor. Then added some "structure" piece to the bed that'll be throughout the build. Also built the '69 Torino style hood. Started working on making the square exhaust tips and then got the thought of doing round exhaust tips. Now I can't decide what I like more. Belugawrx
I like the squares Kinda NascarishIdid that to my 55 Cameoboth look good ...if rounds are thinned outCheers
JTalmage
I love the idea. Great work so far. I'd go with the round tips, just angle them back just a touch. Sorta like an airplane engine.
espo
You might even try one oblong exhaust opening.

kruleworld
Since it's custom, i'd say go square to be different

ford514
Finished up the front wheels, with the staggered look. Then got the ride height where I wanted with a slight rake in the rear. Edited July 24, 2015 by ford514
ford514
Also got the engine compartment figured out. Had to move a cross member on the chassis to fit the motor right. Also have drilled 84 holes and haven't even started the interior ones. Edited July 24, 2015 by ford514
