Petetrucker07 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I like the Idea of a new tool 67 to 72 Chevy pickup. I vote for short bed.
mikemodeler Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I like the Idea of a new tool 67 to 72 Chevy pickup. I vote for short bed.Me too! It would be nice to have 2wd & 4wd versions. Id like to see Moebius release a 67-72 Chevy pickup, with modern tooling this would sell very well, just look at the recent Ford bumpside kits...ok maybe not a perfect kit but its selling like hotcakes !.Or maybe a 1st gen Bronco ?I think if someone was to tool up a Chevy kit that was a bit more detailed than the AMT kit is/was, they could have a hit on their hands. And like Moebius, offer up some variations- long & short bed, 2wd & 4wd. A nice Suburban would be cool too!
Snake45 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 '68-'70 Javelin, you can count on me to buy several of.'71-'74 Javelin, not interested at all.
Dave Van Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 '68-'70 Javelin, you can count on me to buy several of.'71-'74 Javelin, not interested at all. That's a case of having your cake AND eat it too.All Javelins share many parts, Door skins are the same for all years...same for A pillars and windshields. Shared rear bumpers and spoilers. So if you were to tool a early Javelin converting it later would be easy and really extend the tool life and lower cost.

I would love to see a 67-72 but I'm guessing licensing would be an issue these days going by what I've read about GM. They are very popular in the 1:1 world and there would be enough variations to help with the capital outlay. This is my baby. 67 short step, small back window, 250-6, 3 on the tree, manual everything. No radio, armrests, passenger visor, power anything! Edited July 29, 2015 by bbowser
Bennyg Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I'd like to see another big rig. Regardless of whether it's car or big rig, it has to be popular. Cheers. Ben
RandyEarle Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Highway 61 made a Kaeser Manhattan in 1/18 scale and they sold like hotcakes! Try and find one now, they go for a premium on evilbay.
peter31a Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 This may have been mentioned before but staying on the truck theme, how about 57-60 Ford trucks. It would seem to be a lot of possibilities there.
Greg Myers Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 According to some, they are loser cars. Yeah
om617 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Maby not very realistic, but i love to see these. 47-49 Cadillac Sedanette. 50 Buick Sedanette.53-57 Cadillac 2 door hardtop. 57 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop or wagon. 57 Buick 2 door hardtop or wagon. 58 Dodge Custom Royal 2 door hardtop. 59 Dodge Custom Royal D500 2 door hardtop or convertible. 60 Cadillac 2 door hardtop.71 Chrysler 300.71 Mercury Marquis or the uber cool Colony Park wagon. 71 Impala Sport Coupe or Kingswood wagon.
RandyEarle Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I think we are way past due for a 1960s Dodge Pickup. All the other makes have been made except for the Dodge and Fargo. I can't afford $100+ for a resin version.
Rob Hall Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Between the upcoming '65 Mercury Comet and '61 Ventura, and variations of the Ford trucks, Satellite and the Comet and Ventura, I bet they will be busy for the next year or more...
Petetrucker07 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I think something modern is up next. I'd still like to see a CTS-V, any, really all versions. The 2 Dr, 4 Dr and wagon.
Freeman Cars Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 According to some, they are loser cars. Yeah Where did you find that picture? my friends dad owned that car when the add was on tv. it was a lot of fun riding in that car when i was a 4th grader. fake blower and all.
Drake69 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Another car I want to see that could also be a TV series tie-in for either Moebius or even Polar Lights would he a 1967 Chevy Impala 4-door, obviously from the show Supernatural. I would buy quite a few of these...
Ford Customline Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) I would love to see a 1955 Pontiac all new kit. Edited August 4, 2015 by Ford Customline spelling error
Edsel-Dan Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Polar Lights would more likely do the Impala as AMT did the Modern Tool coupe kit.and they are technically one company now. But, I don't think it will be anytime soon. The last New tooling Automotive kit they did was the TV Batmobile3 versions all based on the same parts!!! I would TRY to buy one if they did it, But would PRAY for a Fill Stock build as I never watched stupidnational!!CHARMED yes, that NO!!!
Tom Geiger Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) The last New tooling Automotive kit they did was the TV BatmobileI have no idea how the names and such got above this post! I was quoting Dan from the post above mine! And a smart move that was! Round 2 is owned by Tom Lowe who has always followed the TV and Movie market. That's a much bigger audience than the model car hobby. There are memorabilia shows all over the country, professionally run, advertising guest appearances of old stars, and making our model car shows look like lemonade stands. I wish the model companies published their sales numbers because I'll bet the Batmobile outsold any of the recent model car kits! Edited August 4, 2015 by Tom Geiger
FordRodnKustom Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) According to some, they are loser cars. Agreed, some would see them that way yet to some others(myself included) they were quite stylish and sporty for the time. Edited August 5, 2015 by FordRodnKustom
