you nailed that Buick motor........nice job I love following your builds

Thank you John!

I'm really hoping that I can finish it up this weekend.

If not, surely by the following.

Really great work here, each component is a gem by itself.

Nice inspiration, I have the convertible and a slew of Modelhaus replacement parts for it, look forward to starting mine.

Thank you!

I look forward to seeing it Mike.

Don't know what I'd build without this great old subject matter.

I just love this stuff! :D

Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH the interior is amazing! i had such a hard time with mine having all the seats and sides molded together. And the dashboard is outstanding! love every bit of this car so far. cant wait to see the finished build

Thanks Pacen!

These interiors are not exactly what I would call "fun to do", but it is gratifying when they turn out the way you envisioned.

Engine looks great, Steve! What green did you use – looks quite authentic.

Just a custom mix using Testors flat paints John, & then clear coated.

I've been using pretty much the same turquoise color for all of my Buick & Mopar builds.

I'm not a big stickler for exact matches on engine colors.

Close is good enough for me.

Every time I start looking at 1:1 cars online for research, the engine color shades are all over the map anyway. ^_^

Great progress, the interior and engine looks so nice. Great detail with the sticker on the aircleaner.

Thanks Tommy!

I like to add a few decals under the hood.

It just adds a little realism, even though they may or may not be completely correct.

I really like the small engine bay decals that I got from Tommy Logan.

I use some of them on most every build.

Steven....great work....particularly that interior, but also the engine and paint/BareMetal work.

I really enjoy seeing old kits brought to life like this.  Makes me think that all those craftsman back in the day who created these kits, would be smiling today if they knew the level of detail and effort we put into building their old kits today.

Best Regards...TIM

Hmm...I'll have to get some of those decals for myself. They look good.

Nice job, Steve. This is going to look really nice together.

That's been my main focus for quite some time now.

I've seen so many of these old kits built badly over the years that I never really realized that they could be built well.

Every time I started a new annual kit build, I used to look at the contents & wonder if it's possible to build it into something that looks nice.

After building a couple dozen of them over the past few years, I began to realize that they can look respectable with a little love & effort.

So, I've found my niche! I'm going to keep building these old kits until I have one of every kit that I thought couldn't look good, in my collection.

I'm not sure when I'll go back to building modern kits. Possibly never!

There's just way too much cool old subject matter out there to bother with the new stuff that I "sort of" like. :)

Thanks Charlie!

By all means, look Tommy up!

He is a member here & will also custom make decals for you if you need some.

I had him make a few small detail decals for me a while back, most notably, the "Golden Lion" valve cover decals for my '65 Chrysler build.
