jefropas Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Does this exist in a kit form, or has it ever? I think I've seen an old annual that costs about a million bucks, but don't recall ever seeing an actual kit of it....thanks! Jeff
Sledsel Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I do not believe one ever existed unless in resin.Any full size 67 Ford would be wonderful though.
unclescott58 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 A '67 Custom? If there is one, it has to be a resin. The only regular full size Ford model kits, or promos, that I know of are the XL hardtops and convertibles offered by AMT.
jas1957 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 AMT produced a 1967 full size Ford kit. IIRC Motor City Resin Casters produces one.
Maindrian Pace Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 While not sedans, '67 Galaxie XL promos can be had pretty reasonably, the hoods are molded separately, and the chassis from '65 or '66 kits are correct for them - so they are a good basis for a model style build.
Jeff Johnston Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 There was a 67 XL 500 with the fastback style roof and the convertible, and you are correct. they cost a small fortune. Both AMT.Kevin Lutz at Missing link does a fantastic resin trans kit of the 67.R&R resin, when Ray Parsons was alive, did a 67. Fastback and wagon. Not sure (or can't remember) if anyone is casting the R&R stuff. It was always a little rough in quality but accurate.JJ
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 The Amt '67 XL is a very nice kit if you can find a good one. I got fairly lucky & got this one on ebay for about $150.00. Believe it or not, that's a very reasonable price for an unbuilt kit. Steve
lordairgtar Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 If I paid $150 for a kit, My wifey would have my head displayed alongside the model cars in the shelf.

What she don't know won't hurt her! I get a little "space" occasionally. My wife recently spent around $300.00 on a pair of boots! You have to take advantage of those circumstances when they come up. jefropas Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Thanks for all the info, I knew I saw one before. I agree, $150 and I'd be swinging from the gallows....I imagine it would be the same look I got when I wanted to buy a 1970 Charger R/T promo... Jeff

Don't you have one of those wives that buys things she doesn't need just because they're on sale? Well, I consider this a "sale" item. I've seen un-built '67 Galaxies go for well over $300.00! The sale of a lifetime! Steve
