SteveThanks guys.I don't remember this being in kit form. I won this one on eBay on Saturday for $50.00, this was one clean example. Snake45 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Very, very nice! How I wish I had bought one of these in 1968!
StevenGuthmiller Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Thanks guys.I don't remember this being in kit form. I won this one on eBay on Saturday for $50.00, this was one clean example. I've been looking for one for years.Al They did do a kit of the '68 442 as well. There's a built up on ebay right now, starting bid of $65.00. If it weren't for the fact that it's missing several parts, I might consider bidding. Steve
gtx6970 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Love it. Sad part is you can find a distressed promo cheaper than you can typically buy a built-up 1968 Olds 442 . That's one car that brings good money built or unbuilt.Myself I have been casually looking for one to do just this .
Porscheman Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 Thank you everyone. I always thought the 68 was much better looking than the 69. IMO.Al
spencer1984 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I always loved this era of Oldsmobiles. Very nice work, that looks great!
Rrrrrrumps Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Nice score! My favorite year 442, design wise, after that anything goes. You have a rare scale 442...love it.
darthsideous Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Beautiful, paintwork, what a clean build up!
Porscheman Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Thanks everyone. I think I got a great deal on this one. I did a little research on pricing on this promo and the average is between $65 to $280. This one was $50, plus the 2 Modelhaus bumpers of $17.00, makes it the deal of the year.Al
John Goschke Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Nice job! Promos are great raw material!
