bbowser Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Just finished this one up today. My first Galaxie kit and it was great, very well engineered, my only nit is the fit of the front fenders (being a separate part). The decals fell apart on me due to age, but otherwise a pleasure to build with great detail on the engine and chassis. Comments welcome, thanks for looking.
Harry P. Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Very nice work, Bruce! Very sharp and clean. Now put a license plate in that blank frame and you can call it finished.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Nice Bruce!I have the Aerosedan & the Sedan Delivery kits that I bought years ago when they first came out. They seem to be great kits, but I just haven't been able to muster the interest to build them.Maybe yours will help motivate me.Great job! Steve
Allen Wrench Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Looks really good. The only things I might have done differently is omitted the wheel trim rings and the beltline trim. That would have added to the base-model look Edited December 7, 2015 by Allen Wrench
Sixties Sam Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Very nice build, Bruce! Great finish and foil work. Good color choice, too.Sam
rmvw guy Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Nice job on an original show room finish. Beautiful!
charlie8575 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Looks good, Bruce. In a way, the blackwalls look right on it. Charlie Larkin
mangodart Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Very nice built !!!! It has that "period perfect" look I really like !!!!
peekay Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I really like your take on this kit. I think it's the first time I've seen it built without whitewalls and it suits the car very well. Beautiful model!
Silver Foxx Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 A very nice looking build , the colour really suits this .
BigTallDad Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Very nice looking! I like the color. That's a great kit...did you notice the firing order (in raised numbers) on the exhaust manifold? That's the way the 1:1 cars were.BTW, as pictured, I believe that is a '47. In '48, there was a vertical bar in the center of the grille, and aftermarket folks were quick to offer a vertical bar for the '47s to make them look like the '48.I had a 1:1 '47 with the aftermarket bar.
High octane Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Very nice job on that Galaxie build Bruce, very nice. I haven't built the sedan as yet, but I did get to build the '46 Coupe earlier this year.
slusher Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 A real beauty Bruce. Very nice and clean work..
Lizard Racing Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Looks great!Especially the Stovebolt six engine.
