KWT Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I've got a couple builds planned for the winter months... but this one, is the one I'm starting first. Here is the 2 kits I'm planning on using for this build... I have to say, the wagon is a nice kit... I really could find much at all that needed to be fixed. Good enough for me anyway. Been trying to figure out what I want to do with it, since I opened the kit... paint, engine, hood, etc.. All I have so far is the paint scheme. The inspiration for the paint came from looking for ideas for another build. I really love using google to search for custom paint jobs. Google is where I found this... Not going to be exactly like it, but it spoke to me. I washed the body, and primed it with Testors custom lacquer gray. smoothed it out some. Then came back in this weekend and sprayed my colors. Decided on Testors one coat Blazin Black and Revving Red... flames by FlameMasks.com.. Nice flame masks. I really dig em. As always, thanks for looking!
mustang1989 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Looks to be really interesting and fun to watch. Build away Jeremy!Â
KWT Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Thanks guys! I still don't know about some of the direction... I can kinda see it in my head though
talon63 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Killer start! Looking forward to the progress.
KWT Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) With work pickin up for the end of quarter, end of year figures... and the preparing for the Christmas... I really haven't had anytime to work on it. But I did get the chassis painted and assembled. Pretty sure I dig the stance enough, this will be the ride height. Idk... we'll see. Anyway, here's the chassis... Still trying to figure out the rest... man it's rough. I'm itchin to build! Thanks for looking! Edited December 17, 2015 by KWT
KWT Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Sit the body on the frame just to get the feel of it... yeah I'm diggin it..lol.
KWT Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) How goes it everybody... Well, just like everything else in life... the year hasn't went as planned so to speak. So this and all the other projects have sit on the self this whole time. But today, finally a step in the right direction. Received my hood in the mail today, from Lex's Scale Modeling. Set in on the body to see how it was gonna look... WOW. Awesome stuff this guy has... Here's a quick setup... Looking forward to getting this thing started again... Thanks for looking! KWT Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 Agreed. Looks interesting indeed. Thank ya much.. I do appreciate it!
KWT Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 Got the engine in place... not alot of detail. I got so excited about the hood I just kinda threw it together
KWT Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 After primer and painting the hood, I started working on the body. I really love this wagon. I'm glad I bought 2 when I did so I can build the real kit... anyway, without futher ado, I bring you "The Draggin Wagon" I Misplaced the taillights and the chrome strip for the front of the hood... Now I have to figure out if this goes under glass or drag racing... Anyway, hope you dig it as much as i do, and as always Thanks for looking!
mustang1989 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 What really grabs my attention here is the overall stance, the motor and the hood! That's a good lookin' car Jeremy. Does that motor come in the kit?
Roadrunner Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I like the wheel/tire combinations, they seem to just "work" on this car.
