Johan body and interior tub with a AMT chassis from a '71 Charger. Keith Marks decals. IMG_2390.thumb.jpg.78fb8f0f8b407e2656e25IMG_2387.thumb.jpg.52b4df3b6cd83082ce73fIMG_2389.thumb.jpg.e7a17adc592cf21c510d4IMG_2392.thumb.jpg.91d1d1900ac6100d2248fIMG_2393.thumb.jpg.97bcab95bd324ce1c0cc1 Someday I'm going to put the hood pins and 6bbl decal on the hood. Someday.

Very nice! Who's A12 hood or kit did you use? I built one many years ago using Perry's Resins kit and it came out nice. I recently bought Modelhaus's A12 kit and it is very nice and has an interior plus wheels and tires. I have started restoring the Johan parts but have not really started the build yet.

You can't go wrong with a JoHan body! B)B)

You got that right Harry! Johan has the ONLY correct version of the Plymouth '68-'70 B-Body. AMT's body misses the mark in a lot of ways, and it's nice to see this one done up so well with the AMT running gear!

Unfortunately, as time goes by, these are getting harder and harder to find, and eBay prices can be really high for pristine examples. I say snatch 'em up when you see them for reasonable prices------I doubt they will ever get any cheaper!

That is a Perry's hood. I used the Johan interior tub as the better detailed AMT tub would not fit well. I stated earlier that I used an AMT '71 Charger chassis. That is incorrect. I used an AMT road runner chassis.

The AMT body looks like it got hit in the back by a truck. The quarter panels look like the result of bad body work, so it would be correct to replicate my 1:1 '68 road runner!  Don't even get me started on those tail lights. The car looks like they started out well at the nose and gave up on everything behind the door jambs.

Only have one of these kits left. I have plans for it. I want to build a copy of my 1:1 race car. Still looking for some nice Weld wheels.

Very, very nice! I have wanted to build this exact model for years--'69 A12 in Code 999 Orange. I just need to get that hood. Is it designed for the JoHan kit, or the AMT? (The two hoods are VERY close but not exact.) If it's for the AMT, did you have to tweak or modify it for the JoHan body?

The hood was most likely designed for the AMT body. It required just a little sanding along the sides and some slight recontouring at the rear. Easy to do and the hood fits well.

Here is a pic of the 1:1 model after coming out of storage. Lots of parts and will probably cost a bit more than a mint Johan kit.

Resto should begin soon.IMG_1646.thumb.jpg.1ad4091a5aca12b1791d1
