otherunicorn Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) PM me with your answer (Make, model and year). Please do NOT post anything in the comments that will help others to identify the vehicle. Please do NOT use reverse image lookup, as it defeats the entire purpose of the game. 1948 Gatso 4000 Sports Roadster http://hooniverse.com/2012/09/02/hooniverse-weekend-of-discovery-the-1948-gatso-4000-sports-roadster/ http://www.automobile-catalog.com/make/gatso/gatso_4000/gatso_4000_sports_roadster/1948.html It had a single piece, welded body - far from ideal if you crumpled a fender! Matt Bacon Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 ...looks like something Pixar invented for Cars 3!bestest,M.
68shortfleet Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Just out of curiosity since I am fairly new the auto ID game here, have any of them gone unanswered/unsolved?While I figured out the last two fairly easily, this one is proving to be a real challenge.
Matt Bacon Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I've never seen one unsolved. There are two or three die-hards who can find even the most obscure subjects (I'm not one of them, I hasten to add!). They clearly have prodigious memories, excellent reference resources (and maybe a lot of time on their hands ;-P)bestest,M.
horsepower Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 If it was purple I'd have an idea where to start, BUT it's not clear on whether it has one or more horns.

matthijsgrit Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Got it! No tricks were used to accomplish that... MG
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 If Palmer had built 1:1 cars... Best answer.
otherunicorn Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Just out of curiosity since I am fairly new the auto ID game here, have any of them gone unanswered/unsolved?While I figured out the last two fairly easily, this one is proving to be a real challenge.Once, in the official game, a car had only one person find it. Once, in a "weekend special" a fellow uploaded an obscure car from a book. The car could not be found on the internet, so no one got that one either.
68shortfleet Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 WOW, that one was a challenge. Answer submitted.
blunc Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) hah!!! I knew I'd seen that before, just took me a while to find it again. that is definitely one of the cars you can't "un-see". saw quite a few gems along the way. Edited January 28, 2016 by blunc
GTJUNIOR Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Never seen this before. Finally found it by pure luck. Rather obscure specimen.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) It looks a lot like the Triclops Superleggera SS1500, styled by the somewhat obscure Scultore Cieco, while working for the equally obscure Sapone Bagnato-fusa coachbuilding firm that was housed in a windowless basement in Fiat's old Officine Grandi Motori inTurin. bobthehobbyguy Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Despite my best efforts I couldn't find this one. Curious to know if my assumptions were right.
