Matt Bacon Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Well, it seems that you don't see many of these built... now I know why! ...and I think the "Mini-Me" box is a great idea: This one fought me all the way to the end. The biggest problem is that the chassis frame is weak, badly fitting and flexible, and the majority of things that mount onto it have very small, vague, attachment points. Still, it was a present from my "Secret Santa" on another forum, intended to take me out of my comfort zone. Which it did. Now, where did I leave that Cobra 427 S/C...? bestest, M
bbowser Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Looks like you wrestled it into submission Nice work!
6bblbird Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 You did good on that one. It definitely brings back memories!I had an original issue when I was a kid and I remember that it fought me!I saved the engine and the canopy. The canopy became a hood bubble on a Challenger!
Speedfreak Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 That looks great Matt! I know it fought you, but , thanks for hanging in there, I don't think I've ever seen this kit, much less seen one built, very cool. When was this originally released, do you know?
afx Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Nice work Matt. Do you know if this body style every was raced?
Jonathan Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 It's the first I've seen completed, and I think it looks great!
Matt Bacon Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks, guys!I don't think this one ever really existed. The kit apart from the body is the same as the Garlits Wynns Jammer and Hemi-sphere kits, and can obviously used with various body styles. To me, this body shape looks a little like the Pink Panther car in terms of styling...bestest,M.
Davewilly Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Looks Great! I have one in my stash. I built its sister the Digger Cuda. The body was a pain to keep lined up but it came out ok...almost ended up just as a F.E.D. with no body! But yours really looks great!
roush16 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Far out man! It is a pain in the A** for sure. I started it back in 1976 and never finished it until a few years ago, lol. Nice job!
Dann Tier Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Way to go, Matt!! -have one in my stash, but heard terrible things about it, and parted it out.
DeeCee Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Thanks for the heads up, i have one of these in the "to do" pile,Glad you stuck with it though, it does looks cool mate.
