Dave I did that '41 Woody front swap onto the chopped Revell '48, here's the results:

Now that is outstanding. What issues did you run into with the conversion ?

In DEC I bought a 1946 Ford coupe street rod in 1/1 scale. I then bought 2 of the IMC/Testors kits.  Glad a put off starting the kit as I will now use the Revell kit.   But the old kits will not go to waste....I can use the 46 trim out of them on the Revell kits.

No issues with the conversion, did NOT cut the fenders where they are separate on a 1:1 because of the different angle used by AMT/Revell, also needed the very front half inch from the '41 hood. OR you can by the resin conversion already done by one of the fine casters!

I bought it in Dec sight unseen other than a few photos. I placed a bid on it and was outbid. But after the first and second place bidders failed to pay the Dealer that owned it just wanted rid of it....I got a deal.

No history came with it. To me it looks like a 1980's build.....during the 80's Fatman street rods shop was near my house and while I was a Mustang person my buddies all had pre 1950 cars. The car looks like someone was inn the process of updating the car. It has a fresh 350 / 350 Chevy engine. Ford 9" rear and Mustang II front suspension.....old school 'cut from a Mustang' not current fabricated. Interior is new and very nice with Ididit tilt steering, new carpet and upholstery. She drives nice....stops on a dime and is a solid car but needs cosmetic work. Gas tank is a boat tank....works but ugly. Have a new tank. Paint is OK for now...I see factory dark maroon someday....maybe a sun visor, steel wheels with dog dish....who knows. thx

Here's a couple of pics of my 46 sedan and the kit I made of it.  Kit was a 48 conv with a 39/40 Ford  roof section added. Have had the 1.1 for 16 years.

WOW!!  I had looked at a few sedans and even four doors.....but none were very nice....I LIKE yours!! Wish mine had bumpers. Both car and model cool!

Dave yer just gonna have to get that ol Ford out to the swap meets and see what you can find. YOUR bumpers are out there. ;)

They're out there.....even really nice brand new units are made!!!

But it's not just that simple.....46 Bumpers are different.....I'd use a set of 47-48 w/o issue.....but then you need brackets, splash pans and you need to be willing to alter the body work on the car now.

All this will come some day....right now I am finishing up my 66 Mustang 2+2 full modified restore.....one project at a time!!

Saw this yellow one on one of Albert W's show postings elsewhere. Woody based tool maybe? 114" wb, I'd guess panel is 134"?

Could do 42, or 46, some other custom stuff. Marmon option would be fun, or Canadian Mercury trim.

SD's and panels must do okay, AMT, Monogram have had the 40 and 55 in catalogs nearly continuously. I see more built 48 Chev SD's than sedan too.

Could maybe use to correct '40 SD too, though I love that kit flaws and all.

Sorry, went kinda nuts finding pics, not one I'd kick out of garage.
