Mercelo Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 This is my very first post on this forum, so here goes. This is the Lindberg Ramchargers kit I finished up a few years back. I was inspired from a picture of exactly this car I came across in one of my many muscle car books. I didn't fuss too much, just added a few touches under the hood, some wiring, and some nice 5- spokes. It's not the prettiest car, but there was something about it I thought was cool. Thanks
Crazy Ed Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 That is BEAUTIFUL! The Paint and Engine compartment look Spot On.
restoman Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 That is sooooo nice!I've got a '64 330 on the go myself. Love that body style.
Harry P. Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Very impressive! Although you are missing a few details (wipers, hose clamps, etc.) But overall, a beautiful model.
bbowser Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 If this is your first post you've set the bar pretty high! That is a great looking model, keep them coming.
6bblbird Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 "It's not the prettiest car, "Yes it is! Terrific! You done good.
Mercelo Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Thank you everyone for the nice comments, its much appreciated. Harry P.... According to my reference (see pictures) these particular cars had many standard options deleted, including wipers, heaters, sun visors, back seats, and many other things to keep them light as possible for the drag strip. Thanks for your kind words though...
Misha Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) Beautiful build Mercelo! The paint finish is gorgeous, always difficult to do black and you aced it. Under the hood detail is very well done congrats. As this is your first post, welcome aboard and we all are looking forward to seeing more of your work. What's next on your bench?Cheers Misha Edited March 22, 2016 by Misha spelling
V8 Trucker Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 very well built model, especially the engine, you still have a picture of the front view?
Jon Haigwood Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Very nicely done. I have a 330 in the works. I hope it turns out near as nice as yours. Good information on the factory deletes. Very helpful for my build
espo Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Very nice clean build. The extra details under the hood make all the difference in the world in the final look.
MGL Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 That engine bay looks really good, nice subtle use of washes both on the engine and the interior, well done.
TarheelRick Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 You said it may not be the prettiest build, if it isn't it holds a really high second place. Gorgeous MOPAR and I am a die-hard FORD man.
Mercelo Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Thanks again everybody, I appreciate your great vibes... Hey V8 Trucker, I'm sorry I don't have any good pics of the front end but here's one of the kit, which shows the front.
