DukeE Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Always wanted to build the Jocko Johnson Streamliner out of one of those. It'd never get far. Amazed a resin guy hasn't done it, about as iconic as anything.
magicmustang Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 (edited) How about a Snap bomb. Got one off the bay. Took it apart and redid it. Edited January 15, 2020 by magicmustang

Would be interesting to see what your interpretation yields, compared to mine. You may beat me to completion on it, though. A variety of non-modeling obligations still conspire to be monstrous time eaters for me lately.

Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 I got these a while back from a contractor who came into work. Some of his old builds. Not sure when, or if, I'll get around to doing much with some of them except pull parts. The Camaro, Impala and Nova have the most potential for me Later-
Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Also picked this Scout up a while back. Later-

Those all look like fun "rescue" candidates. Nothing there rare enough to rate a full-on rebuild, but it would be fun to see if a few hours work would improve any of them enough to earn a spot on the shelf. I LOVE this kinda stuff! Have fun with them!
mchook Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 I started tearing this apart yesterday. LOTS of glue but i'm getting there.
Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 That looks like it will be a fun one Mark. Later-

Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Some more. Unfortunately, the Willys, 32 Five window and Anglia are missing body panels and doors. Later-
Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Got the paint stopped off of this one today in prep for a rebuild. This one is extremely brittle. I broke the front fender trying to remove the grill. You can see from the red line where I reglued it. For $2 for a complete build, I can't complain. Later-

That Caddy wagon would make a good service vehicle. ?
Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Yes it would. Someday when I find the right body style I am planning on building a sound car. Later-
ewetwo Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 (edited) Just one of many. Edited January 15, 2020 by ewetwo

Modlbldr Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 That looks like an excellent candidate, Dave. Do you have all of the parts for it? Later-
ewetwo Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 16 hours ago, Modlbldr said: That looks like an excellent candidate, Dave. Do you have all of the parts for it? Later- No Tom. I was going to list it for sale at a Facebook site "Deal or No Deal, the parts". I put a 66 corvette at that site. A guy offed $5. I accepted and he's never followed up. First time I try something to recoup some cash and it goes bust.
Modlbldr Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) Those things happen. I'm sure someone here would trade or pay you for the 66 Vette and this Corvair. Later- Edited January 16, 2020 by Modlbldr
