shoopdog Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Now that's just awesome! Love it. Not sure what decals you'll be adding but please post pics with them.
Porscheman Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 Thanks Keith, The stripes are black and run down the sides.
cobraman Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Love those cars. My BIL had a black one with a white bumblebee type of stripe. Had a 429 if my memory serves me. Model looks good.
CometMan Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Very nice, Al! Always loved the nose of those Cyclones!
Bill J Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Nice one! My ML kit is in the mail so I should be getting going on my own here soon. Not sure what color I want though.Your Cyclone looks really good. I especially like the Magnum 500 wheels with the black outs, nicely done.
RestoModGuy Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 WOW! Al, that turned out fantastic! Well done again.
Ron Hamilton Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You move fast Al. Very Nice. I cleaned up an original glue-bomb. I may contact ML for the vacuum formed glass and a dash, and I can work mine over.
unclescott58 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Very nice Al. But, you need to tell us more. Did you use Revell's '70 Torino for the chassis and interior? And if you did, did encounter any problems or minor tweaking that may need to be done to get it to work. I'm still considering buying the Missing Link kit. Just want to know what I'm getting into in this one before trying it.
Kmb0319 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 That is just BA.... incredible job. Is that the Revell Torino for a chassis?
Hubert Rollins Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 That's beautiful!! Love the color!! What is it called?
Mercelo Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Now "This" is awesome. Talk about a subject you rarely see on model forums.... It's beautiful, and nicely built, great work on this one.
Bob Ellis Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 This Missing Link Revell chassis combo looks better than the original MPC kit that I built in the 70s The stance is better. I didn't think the MPC fit that well
Porscheman Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) Thank you for all the nice comments. It's painted Testors Grabber Green lacquer, with Wet look clear top coat. The only modification I did, was move the rear suspension forward 1/16 of an inch. I used the Revell 70 Torino kits windows, mirrors and Magnum 500 wheels. This is an excellent kit and is highly recommended. Thanks again, Al Edited May 21, 2016 by Porscheman
