Here's my '48 Ford coupe, built in 2012. The paint is Testors One Coat Mythical Maroon with three coats of clear, wet sanded and polished. Enjoy the pics!

Do you always paint the chassis components red and the mufflers blue?

The mufflers in these Revell flathead-motored kits are representative of Smithy glass packs which have always come painted hammertone blue since the 40's. Definitely a correct traditional hot rod detail.

Currently I only have two finished models with red suspension and blue mufflers, but you might see more in the future. Hahahahaha!

Beautiful , a job well done !   And personally I like the contrast in colors . :)

Nothin' wrong with that on quite a few counts. ;)

That's a beautiful build, super clean all around. The color suits it well, and the paint job looks outstanding!  Nicely done... :D

Very nice. I think Revell did a better job on the chop on this one than they did on the '49 Merc.

Anyway, beautiful model. Maroon is, to me, one of the two best colors for the '48 Ford, whether standard or custom.

Great paint, fine work overall. I'd be proud to have my name on that one. :D
