cobraman
This was built for a neighbor of my best friend (50 years ) . Won't go into the whole story as it is in the build section. Let's just say he has health problems. Anyway, this is a replica of his Sunday car. I started with the AMT Nova kit. I bought the AMT 57 Vette kit to get the correct wheels. The interior is flocked. I used MM red lacquer paint with 3 coats of clear. It was polished some with Novus. I used a pair of resin slicks from Speed City Resin. ( good people ). I cut some aluminum tubing for the exhaust tips. Tach from the parts box. Bought the cowl hood on ebay. Modified a center console to mimic the one he has in the car. Used a display case and just added a few diorama things. Made a rear plate that matches his. Car was built curbside so no engine or chassis detail. Harry, if you read this the mirror is being sent with the model and my buddy will install. : )
