tbill Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 got this one off the bench finally. foil work on this one kicked my butt, think i have a 'dud' sheet of foil, foil work is usually a breeze, but not on this one. pic's are dark due to no sun today, but the color is GM 'limited addiction red', looks dynamite in the sun. i used some parts pack blue streaks on the rear.
AC Norton Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 very, very nice piece, Tom. looks tough as nails, your color choice and everything is terrific. I have this kit in the pile, and seeing one build in a very similar way that I would approach is inspiring.............great work,,,,,best, the Ace...........
unclescott58 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Looks good. A good old fashion AMT classic kit. I like it.
Roadrunner Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Very cool. I've been debating buying this very kit, this may well push me over the edge.

Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Oh yeah. That's a mean Impala. A really great thing to see one that is not a stinking lowrider.
Hubert Rollins Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Very nice model!! Excellent work- looks flawless!!
Bob Ellis Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Did you save the convertible boot for another 64 Impala project?
Fanof69 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Oh yeah. That's a mean Impala. A really great thing to see one that is not a stinking lowrider.x2
espo Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Very nice build with what I think was the best color/interior combo of the day. Except for the hood scope I remember a car that looked exactly like this in about '65. The guy had a 300hp 327cuin four speed with the dash tach. It sat just like this and even had the same wheels. You could hear the car a block away with headers and glass packs. Thanks for the memories.
V8 Trucker Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Very cool, so one would like to drive a few laps immediately.............
nicknkim14 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I just walked out of hobby lobby with this kit in my bag...nice job!!
tbill Posted July 12, 2016 Author Posted July 12, 2016 thanks all, i remember building a version of this kit when i was a kid around 1979 or so, i think i did better this time Bob, gave the boot to a buddy of mine for one of his projects.
darthsideous Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Really nice build, I really like your color choice too!
