niteowl7710 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 That's an...interesting list to be called "July Releases"...The SnapIt Camaro is listed as an August release by Auto World Store. The puller has no official month yet, and the Petty car came out 2 weeks ago.
Ben Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I like the desciption on the Blazin Bison! The only way it's gonna be climbing mountains of cars is if the sled chain breaks and it ends up in the parking lot! LOL

There is more detail on the upcoming releases Here, again, is Round2's 3Q 2016 for AMT/MPC
1972coronet Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 qUite nice to see the 1/16 scale 1955 Nomad making a return ! I hope that better tyres find their way into this reissue .
niteowl7710 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Their EMAIL, and this post is titled, July Announcements. There is more detail on the upcoming releasesHere, again, is Round2's 3Q 2016 for AMT/MPC That's all fine and well, but that still doesn't make it any more accurate. Since one of the "new" releases for "July is 3 weeks on shelves already, and that SnapIt version of the Camaro is going to be molded in Garnet Red not black like the flyer says. Round2 has also been showing things on their FB and YouTube channel as new kits that haven't been distributed to retailers yet. It's not your fault in any way, but if it's not listed on the Auto World Store site, then Round2's guidance on releases is like a road map drawn in pencil with someone constantly erasing it and redrawing.
unclescott58 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Still curious about the Pacer wagon that's coming. Can it be built stock?
Dragline Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 There is art for this, so it's weird they don't show it on the release pamphlet.
louie Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Exotics _ Builder, I absolutely appreciate you sharing this info with us. I am just glad to see what's coming. Thanks. Jeff
louie Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 And you to Dragline, appreciate the info and pictures. Thank you. Jeff
Dragline Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) This is interesting also.. Box reads 20 pieces? There should be 20 pieces for the wheels alone. I have to see the contents of this one. Edited July 10, 2016 by Dragline Edit comment
Mark Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 This is interesting also.. Box reads 20 pieces? There should be 20 pieces for the wheels alone. I have to see the contents of this one. It's a snapper. I've never had either of the Camaros, but judging from other kits in that series it will be VERY simple. I've got the body from the Firebird here somewhere, if I remember right the taillight detail is molded as part of the body.

I understand the frustration, but at least you get an idea of what they're planning to roll out. As far as their announcements, there is at least some additional detail of what they'll be providing. Until someone can get hold of an actual sample and share it, though, we still may have some doubt of adding to the stash. In several cases I have original or prior release versions of kits coming out and really need something exciting to consider adding another. For example, I have a Prestige version of the 65 Grand Prix, and just can't see adding the reissue. When I find anything out I can share, I feel it best to just pass it on, especially if photos or detail can help the modeler make a better decision. As to timing of releases, your analogy hit it pretty good. I try to remember that these plans are developed months ahead and snags can (and seem to often) creep in. There was one release, this case from Revell, about three years ago that our club decided to do as a club model. The problem arose that the release came out about one month before the meeting where the results would be displayed. Fortunately, we had a plan B. Edited July 10, 2016 by Exotics_Builder
1972coronet Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Still curious about the Pacer wagon that's coming. Can it be built stock? One would certainly hope so . Last AMT Pacer WAGON kit I had was of the circa 1977 annual . I bought it at FedCo in 1982 for less than a dollar (!) . The 1987 Whittier Earthquake destroyed it ... and 98% of my collection up to that point .
Mr mopar Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Have a look at Stevens international listing there a bunch of new kits coming! Not listed here.
mikemodeler Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Still curious about the Pacer wagon that's coming. Can it be built stock? Not familiar with this kit but am curious about it's contents. I am looking for a 258 cubic inch L6 engine for a Jeep project and I know one of the Pacer kits came with that engine. If this kit does contain the 258, then put me down for a couple!

Exotics_Builder Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 The Pacer Wagon mentioned is shown in this box art on Stevens
pack rat Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Still curious about the Pacer wagon that's coming. Can it be built stock? The Pacer will be buildable stock, it has the 6 cylinder engine, and the box art shown in Gerry's post above is the one they're using
pack rat Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 This is interesting also.. Box reads 20 pieces? There should be 20 pieces for the wheels alone. I have to see the contents of this one. Not a pic of the contents, but this should give you an idea re the simplicity
louie Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Oh,Yeah! Thanks again for that list of TBA Kits. Happy, Happy, Happy. Thanks. Jeff What a great time to be a modeler Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!!!!!
Luc Janssens Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Hmm... The El Camino with soap box derby car, looks like a modified re-creation of the original '69 kit, with the new tool '68 and I'm guessing discovered soap box derby car inserts.
