JollySipper Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Wheel Mock Ups....! Simply for your enjoyment.......... I'll be buying this kit again soon, and was anxious to see some wheels on it that I had in the stash............
JollySipper Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Yep! Those are probably my favorites, too............
Modelbuilder Mark Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 While I like the spinners, the 4th set looks great on there.
crazyrichard Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 3th or 4th .. i kind of like the third it makes it real customy ...
matthijsgrit Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 (edited) I actually like the first... they are something different. Although they should fit te rest of the team of the car (Think Coyote 5.0, IRS, modern interior and a modern color like that silver...). Dare to be different.Or the 4th. Not too common as well... Ace-Garageguy Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Ah yes, the mockup phase. By far the most fun part of the hobby for me.
JollySipper Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Glad you guys are enjoying the pics! I actually like the first... they are something different. Although they should fit te rest of the team of the car (Think Coyote 5.0, IRS, modern interior and a modern color like that silver...). Dare to be different.Or the 4th. Not too common as well...This kit actually comes with an IRS, Mustang II front suspension, and a tuned-port small block.......... It would make a good basis to build the type of car you are describing.....
jjsipes Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I like the last 2 but, I'm kinda a traditionalist myself. What kit is this may I ask?
58 Impala Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I like the last 2, mostly leaning toward the Artillery wheels.
JollySipper Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 I like the last 2 but, I'm kinda a traditionalist myself. What kit is this may I ask? It's the Revellogram '37 Ford Coupe.............. The "GoodGuys" and the "California Wheels" versions both come with two sets of wheels, the Cragars in the last pic and a set of modern 5-spoke wheels............Probably my favorite kit!
Snake45 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 The "best" wheels kind of depend on where you're going with the rest of the build. '50s rod? '50s custom? '60s rod? Current-day street cruiser? Make that decision and the wheels/tires will almost select themselves.
