Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 This project started as one of those "I wonder if I can..." things, and I finally did it. It's the AMT 1996 Chevy Tahoe snap kit sliced and diced into the 2 door version. Thanks for checking it out.
Warren D Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I know what a pain that conversion is, you done good.
Intmd8r Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 She’s a beauty -Looks like it came out of the box that way!
iamsuperdan Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 You nailed the conversion. Dimensions are just right.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 Thank you all. Glad you like. I think since I've figured out the side glass I may revisit the Suburban conversion I did a few years back. Thanks again.
kymdlr Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 What did you use for the longer side glass in the suburban?
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 What did you use for the longer side glass in the suburban?I usd 1:1 window tint film without separating the film from the backing. I thought it was flexible enough to provide the curve at the top of the glass but it turned out to be too flexible.
RAMBENNA Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 looks great, you did a nice job. how did you raise the height ?
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Thanks Cliff. There are a couple of pics of the suspension here.
horsepower Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 That's really clean, looks like it came out of the box that way. Now I need to attempt a two wheel drive version that's down in the weeds very with some of the trick interior pieces you'd expect to find in one of those.
RAMBENNA Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Thanks Cliff. There are a couple of pics of the suspension here.thanks Jay , you do great work, excellent

horsepower Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I wish the gauges on our full size '92 Silverado were this bright and easy to read.?
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 29, 2016 Author Posted September 29, 2016 I wish the gauges on our full size '92 Silverado were this bright and easy to read.?Lol. That's a decal I made using a picture of an aftermarket gauge with blue lights I found on ebay.
horsepower Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I was going to switch to LED's, but did you know those little dash bulbs are $10 each for LED replacements? And there are 17 of them!.
