martinfan5 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Tamiya Mercedes S600 Coupe, I could not get the metal transfers to stick, so no emblems, Paint is from Scale Finishes and its a very dark Mercedes Blue. Overall, not too happy with it.
Dragline Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I can see how you wouldn't be happy with it. What with the smooth paint and clean building style and all. Very nice from my vantage point.
iamsuperdan Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Not happy with it? I think that turned out great!
espo Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Very nice showroom type build. You don't even miss the emblems.
bbowser Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Yeah, I think it turned out really well!I agree, nice clean work.
MrObsessive Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Jonathan, from where I sit, that looks super sharp and clean!
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Looks good to me but I'm a three pointed star fanatic. For the emblems you can try this.
Plastheniker Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Very clean result! Isn't it possible to attach the emblems with a minimum of acrylic clear?
Funkychiken Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 you can try a bit of varnish or clear paint to stick the emblems, but the build looks great to me...
horsepower Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Very clean result! Isn't it possible to attach the emblems with a minimum of acrylic clear?Or Even regular enamel clear apply to the emblem with a small brush and wait until it's tacky then put into position on the car. Placing the emblems on a small piece of scotch tape before doing this makes it easy to see what you're doing and you can wait until dry before removing the tape.
