Lovefordgalaxie Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) I made a new photo booth, to be able to take indoor pictures of better quality. It's basically a box where my new TV came (the last one I found with a tube. Hate the new skinny ones) that i covered in aluminum foil inside, and made holes for a couple of spotlights. My parking lot diorama is a perfect fit inside. Even tough, those pictures I took just using white cardboard as a background. What do you guys think? Parking lot dio, or white background? I'm making a new diorama that's the inside of a 1960's Ford dealer, but that... Will take a good while to get finished. 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Fairlane 500 R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1966 Fairlane 500 R Code by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1956 Fairlane Victoria by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1956 Fairlane Victoria by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1956 Fairlane Victoria by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1956 Fairlane Victoria by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr Edited October 21, 2016 by Lovefordgalaxie Adding more pictures
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 No reason you can't do both Tulio. But I would save the dio for outdoor shots. It would look more realistic in natural light. The white background makes it look clean & un-cluttered showing off the model without any distractions. The only thing I don't like about my photo booth is it seems to soften a little too much hiding the shine of the paint.Yours seems to look good. Steve
Miatatom Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Great photos. I've built myself a photo booth as well and need to re-photograph my builds. You have inspired me.
smellyfatdude Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 You can't hide the flaws with lighting like that. Good thing there aren't any.
Fanof69 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I like your new booth Tulio! Having said that if your looking to unload the parking lot dio
bbowser Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Another home run from your bench! Outstanding model and photos.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 looks good. I can rarely get good pics, and I Gabe a portable photo booth. I am just not good with a camera, but you are getting great results
Lovefordgalaxie Posted October 17, 2016 Author Posted October 17, 2016 Thanks guys!! Have to do more testing, I think a black and a white car are in order now.
Mike C Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 The model looks great and your photo booth works well.
BigTallDad Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Everything looks great!Have you tried shooting a light-colored model (as in white or yellow)? You might have to go with something other than aluminum foil, such as a light blue.
Lonh Haired David Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Just a suggestion - if you can get your camera onto a tripod; try taking about 6 photos with the focus on different points. Then use some software like "Helicon Focus" which will take all the images and put them together so that the whole thing is nicely focused. As an example, here is my recent Dan Gurney GT40 done that way.

I just do'nt know if my camera, a very basic Sony Cyber Shot actually CAN take pictures with multiple focus points.
