Bottom row: 4) Dunlop Racing 5.50 - 15 5) Goodyear 9.50 - 16.5 Hi-Miler Wide Tred (not a typo) 6) Firestone, with the crossed flags opposite. AMT vintage Indy-ish? Smooth tread area.

Smooth tread area. goodyear high millers came in 1st issues of the Ford F350 before the 2 pc tires. The firestone indys came in a later issue of the Willard Battery Special indy car maybe the 3 pack Indy set 1
Mark Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 I'm reasonably sure the Continental tire is from an IMC VW Beetle. The M/T cheater slick was in a few MPC annual kits between 1974 and about 1976, also the silver '67 Charger street machine version. The Dunlop tire is IMC also, pretty sure their issue of the Cougar II has them.

I've had a couple of the MPC '78 Dodge van kits with the twin engine drag version that also came with this tire. I'm guessing any earlier Dodge van kits with the twin engine version had them as well.
Mark Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Never had the '78 van, but I did/do have the '71 and '72 passenger versions, the only other issues with that dual engine setup. Those kits had the tall/hollow M&H Racemaster dragster slicks. They of course predated the other kits I mentioned, which started appearing in '74. And, now that I think of it, the '78 Monza annual may have had them too.

Just a couple months ago a saw an early 70s Dodge van glue bomb on ebay with the twin engines, and wondered what years they were issued.

The #2 Firestone Indianapolis is from IMC's first kit, the 1963 version of the Lotus Ford. There are front and rear versions of this tire, and I'm not sure if they appeared in any other IMC kits. This Lotus-Ford is not the same kit as the much more common IMC '65 Lotus-Ford. The '65 Indy winner is the one that Testors reissued in the 1970s. 1 1

The yellow triangular piece at the bottom right looks very familiar.....I'm thinking a custom window filler for an MPC '68-69 Charger? Early issue, later ones were widened on the back side and the outer edge altered to work with hollow tires. Other wheel is AMT (made by MPC) Bill Cushenbery Dream Rod, later used in the MPC Magnum GT II (ex-1966 Dodge Monaco). 1

I have a complete 68 body and interior, but the front valance seems to have gone missing. I don't know what I will ever do with it, but it would be nice if it was complete.

Second is '70 Cougar? Pretty sure that tiny script on the glovebox says Cougar, not Mustang. White dash, no clue...late '50s GM? Bottom dash, in flat black, does have a script, too, but too unclear to make out.
