I'm a fan of Doodle Bugs, in fact I have one about half done.   I like the way you finished it.  As far as the restored ones, that's like changing history as I don't think they ever started out looking that way.  I can see farmers doing the mechanical work they needed to do, adding seats and other pieces from stuff they had around, but not spending time and money in making them pretty.

Love it being weathered. As saidvthe restored really miss the point. You take parts that you have and make something useful. Could see it painted with rattle cans but not really trying to make it look pretty. Nice work.

Thanks guys! I added a bumper, step & I'm working on the hood. I need to paint it but it's still about 10 degrees out so not today. I'm working on a trailer for it too. I think I'm going to make it full of fence posts & barbed wire.

Here is what mine will look like,I would like to find a older set of rear tires but these are what I have right now. I need to make a firewall and find a hood, going to leave the frame full length so I can attach a bumper with a tow hook and this thing is going to look cobbled togather.

Your off to a great start! Your building it like a real one, using whatever you have for parts. If you don't have it, build it. I've seen them with plywood firewalls & old road signs for hoods. Anything goes & nothing is wrong. It won't be long & it will be ready to go to work.

Got the trailer about done & made a pick, sledge hammer, shovel, post hole digger & fence posts. Next is the barbed wire & maybe some more goodies.
