Ron Glass dead at 71

Barney Miller cast member Ron Glass died of respiratory failure at 71. One of my favorite shows is Barney Miller still watch it on Antenna Tv.

I'm going to have scan around for Barney Miller reruns. Glass was great on there and played the part well. He also had a decent career throughout his life playing small parts in many different shows.

I remember Mr. Glass on Barney Miller, but Firefly is where I feel I really know him as an actor.  This one has hit me pretty hard.

This is the first I'm hearing of this. Very sad to hear, too.

He was brilliant in Barney Miller and did a guest spot on Major Crimes a couple of years ago, along with some other great small-screen luminaries of old, and was hilarious.

Yeah, 2016 can go away.

Oh I agree. It's amazing how that show and it's characters have gained in popularity over time. I have gifted the Firefly set and Serenity at least four times and will again this Xmas. Browncoats forever.
