SC could be Sleeper Cab... but I like the idea that it's a typo and both the day cab single drive and sleeper cab dual drive parts are in the same box.  Also curious about the significance of the "75th" in the kit name.  It's about the right timing for Freightliner's 75th anniversary but I can't see Daimler Trucks allowing that on a kit with a competitor's name.

It would be nice to have all the options in one box. Most of my project ideas are dual drive day cabs, buying one of each kit to do that leaves me with parts for a single drive sleeper cab, kind of an unusual beast.

Hobbylinc.com has them in stock now. I just ordered one so I can see for myself what's going on.

They have the Dual Drive kit, and the Single Drive kit, but neither is the specific kit that's being discussed here.  There's a listing for it, but it's a "1st Half of 2017" release.

They were showing "In Stock" yesterday, and today out of stock (Unless it was some type of typo). I'm hoping that Rick can post some pictures when his arrives if it wasn't a typo.

It was a misprint,  or a coding error that showed it in stock. It's not on the 60 day sheet (eg Jan or Feb release) at Round2, and Tower is saying "Mid April".

There is something going on here. I stumbled across this kit through Hobbylinc.com. The kit WAS available last week when I ordered, now the kit is on pre order status. I guess we are all curious to see what this kit really is. Who knows, maybe the kit manufacturers are starting to listen to our requests. Stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, is the one you have on order still legit? Or did they change it to a pre-order?

Well, that I will agree with. Sounds to me like they are doing a special kit combining all the parts for all versions of this kit. The Dual Drive version was reissued in June of 2009 and is still a current item, so maybe Round2 is trying a creative method to get rid of excess slow-moving stock.

As James said, this kit won't be available for a few months:

Let's hope this kit does well and maybe we will see more 2 in 1 truck kits , how about a Peterbilt 352/359 combo. Kenworth w925 /k125 combo or even Ford LN/LNT truck/tractor/dump&plow ! There's a lot of possibilities. Boogity Boogity Boogity boys let's fill those parts boxes!!

Considering there are still kits of the original DD sleeper cab version available from 2009, I wouldn't bet on it setting any sales records at the (likely) higher price point. Plus, the SD version was reissued last year, so the market seems a bit flooded at the moment.

My Hobby Lobby was blowing out those DD Sleepers last year. I'll bet they had 8 of them for sale, and even at clearance prices, took a month or more to get rid of them. I'll hope they sell well, but I'm not a CabOver Builder so I won't need even the 75th anniversary kit.

Unfortunately the Freightliner COE kits are a b%^&$ to build and take a lot of re-engineering to get them to go together right.  I wish they'd fix that stuff instead of "perfuming the pig" by putting the same stuff in new wraps.

I am a fan of freightliners, but not the early 70's version AMT chose to offer.   If someone comes out with a nice mid 60's resin cab, I'll pull the trigger.
