R. Thorne Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I see a number of model kits for the hardtop, but none for the sedan or post type 1966 nova. Can someone tell me what is involved to convert a hardtop to a sedan or are there resin kits available? Thanks, Ron.

Thanks, Ron.I believe Jimmy Flintstone still casts this body style, from an excellent master done by the late Mike Watgen a good 25 years ago or so.Art
espo Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Check in the Aftermarket/Resin area. There are several casters that offer a resin tudor sedan bodies. The roof line is a very different shape from a hardtop.

However, Jimmy does have many product he does not necessarily have listed, so it might be worth contacting him to see if it is still available.http://jimmyflintstonestudios.com/?page_id=9
R. Thorne Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Thank you very much for your input, guys. Ron.
BubbaBrown Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I think the roof might be different between hdtp and sdn
Art Anderson Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I'd just glue in a piece of styrene. The only problem with that is that on the Nova HT, the roofline is almost 2 scale inches lower than that of a sedan body--with the windshield having a much more "vertical" angle to it; and then there's the rear of the roof, which on the sedans is much more "boxy looking".Art
Kayma367 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Bandit Resins offers this body style and it is currently available; $30.00 for the body only. I have purchased many of his resin bodies and have yet to be disappointed.http://www.banditresins.com/1966_nova.htmlJohn
crazyjim Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 That body looks very nice. What do you do with the unused original Nova bodies though?
