modelmatt
I built this monster 8 years ago. I had to take the dust off it and give it a polish. Its no were near what I would do with it today, knowing what I know now. I wouldn't mind building another one if they weren't selling for 300.00 or so. I think I paid close to that then. It was a bidding war on E-Bay....It just about fit in my spray booth
Luc Janssens
It sure is a beauty Matt!Still kick myself for not picking up the version with the snow flake wheels, like these a lot.

Rdkingjay
Matt, that looks pretty good to me. If your skills as a builder have progressed, maybe a light resto/update is in order. But from the pics, it looks fantastic!!
Maindrian Pace
Brings back memories, I built that kit when it was brand new. I made the headlights work with mini model railroad bulbs and a battery pack in the trunk. I wish I had kept it, it got tossed like so many others. Iroc crazy
Look on eBay I bet what you paid for it new is less than what they sell on eBay
disabled modeler
Thanks Luc, The larger model kits are easier to work with. That is one of the reasons I want to find a kit of it....plus I had one many years ago that got lost due to the tornado we had here in 2011. Beautiful stunning build Matt...!!!

MrObsessive
Beautiful 'Bird Matt! I had one of these too, but it got lost/damaged in a move. Each time I see one of these on the 'Bay, I try to bid on it, but I get beat every time by a STAGGERING amount! One of these days though.............. What I REALLY want is the '79......those were the last of the big blocks, and I like the hood scoop better on that one.
Ron Hamilton
I love that one. It brings back memories. I bought one of those when it was new, and built it right away. I still have it, even though it has not seen the light in over 25 years. I lost a side marker light from it, but otherwise it is still there. One day, I may reassemble it. peteski
Oh man, that brings back some memories! I built one back in the '80s. I even installed light bulbs in the headlights. That was a nice looking model! The black plastic was so shiny and flawless that I didn't even paint it. Just applied the decals (just like on the real car). But is was a very large model - I tossed it when I moved in early '90s. I wish I had it now (the kit or the 1:1 car).
