Dave Van Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 My SoCal buddy started this build when I was there last Aug.......just finished it up. Terry does not do internet as he build on commission most times. But he said it'd be fine to share this one.....Paint took 80% of the time to build.....really hard paint job to match up with decals. Enjoy
Lowlife ! ! Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) I built one of these, must be over 30 years ago ! Great job, he's really gone to town with the details. Can I ask why he painted the graphics , were the decals unusable ?? Oh and more pics please ! Edited March 28, 2017 by Lowlife ! !

He used all the kit supplied decals.....but the royal blue must be painted AND must match supplied decals!!!
kilrathy10 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 It does look quite good.....There ain't a blemish on it.....Beautiful.....
extmcdriver Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 What a fantastic job!!! Trying to paint and decal this thing is a total nightmare.
Bennyg Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 That's awesome! I've got a super boss in my stash and have gathered some extras from Czech Model Trucks , Auslowe and Model car garage such as door hinges, headlights, diamond pattern interior. It's good to see a super boss done so well.Ben
Force Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) Very nice build indeed. The chassis is a bit too dark tho', in all my reference pictures for this truck the chassis on the Super Boss is light blue, pretty much like the light blue stripes on the decal sheet. Edited March 30, 2017 by Force

Still looks ace though.Ben

Dave Van Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Some artistic license was taken. Terry builds on commission and happy customer is job one.The other side of this is the current owner of the 1/1 Malone trucks asked is they could use it on their site.....so they approve too!!

It's also on the round 2 site. Did he take more "under construction" pictures? Ben
Dave Van Posted April 1, 2017 Author Posted April 1, 2017 Terry is sending me a CD of all photos. John G asked to use them too.....I send stuff like this to him on a regular basis.
drinkone2 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 That is nice!! I've never built this kit but recently picked up a couple of the "Papa Trucks". Does the roll cage come in the kit or was it scratch built? Jim
