NYNS Franky Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Love the Raptor, and couldn't resist another quick build. Painted Tamiya rattle can Brilliant Orange, and cleared with Testors wet look clear. Great looking kit when complete, made my own decals as the stickers in the kit wouldn't look right.
Jim B Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 That looks fantastic! Are those kit decals on the dash, or did you make them, too?
Againmikewins Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Very cool! I really wish we'd get a full detail kit of these awesome trucks.

Jim B Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Saw one of these kits at HL yesterday, and I was very tempted to pick it up.
kilrathy10 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 (edited) Awesome job on this baby and EXCELLENT color choice !!!! One of the cleanest models of these I've seen.....Very nice..... I love these things....Like potato chips....You can't build just one.....Excellent decal work.... Edited April 21, 2017 by kilrathy10
NYNS Franky Posted April 21, 2017 Author Posted April 21, 2017 Thanks for the positive comments! The navigation screen is a decal, I painted the gauges. I would recommend this kit, it just builds up so nice!
mikemodeler Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 If this wasn't a scale model forum, I would say that was a real truck! Very nice and excellent detail. I have one of these built and a couple more for some slump busting builds!
TarheelRick Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Beautiful build of an outstanding truck. As others have said, it could easily be mistaken for a real one, excellent work. And it is a FORD, so, all is good.
bogger44 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Wow Frank, you knocked this out of the park! Excellent job painting around the headlights. I kinda want to pop mine apart and do a better job in that area now after seeing your's. Also, what paint did you use on the wheels? These are great little kits, I almost picked up another one today. One simply cannot have too many Raptors Lol!
Modelbuilder Mark Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Looks really good. You shoot that Wet Look and the base-coat straight from the can? If so, very nice results.
