JAFFA Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Simple, find or take a single photo of any build of yours, and post it! I'd post first, but it seemed kinda rude seing that i started the topic..
Casey429 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I'll give it a shot. One of my favorite builds and pics, my '67 Mustang with a 390 out of the '67 Galaxie. It also has MRC Keystones wrapped by Firestone Wide Ovals.
cruz Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Tough question man but I think I would go w/ my 61 Impala, something about the lines of that car is somewhat erotic!!!
Guest Davkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 (edited) I consider this model to be my most photogenic so I guess that makes this my favorite photo; David Edited January 7, 2009 by Davkin
crispy Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 One of my favorite builds and probably the best picture I have taken. It looks almost real. Chris
ismaelg Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I CAN'T! That's like choosing between your kids. I'm into photography as well, and the 2 hobbies are perfect for each other. So I picked about 10 and randomly picked 1: Thanks,
MrObsessive Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 (edited) Like Izzy, I have the same dilemma--------trying to choose between several. So I picked this one................. The Jag D-Type when it's all polished and prettied up can't be beat for showing reflections off that curvy body! Pay no attention to the partially open hood!............Yes it does close the whole way! Edited May 28, 2016 by MrObsessive Pic was replaced due to folder movement in Fotki
kustoms Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Here is one of my best builds ! amt 40 ford coupe made in convertable. Bud Ellis kustoms
Brendan Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Too many to choose from. It's making my head hurt. So I chose this one...Ferrari 575 GT1 Le Mans.
Clay Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 It wasnt really my build, the model was just given to me. But I did take pictures of it and I think it is one of my better ones. Hopefully once I get everything straightened out in my work area/garage It will be alot better.
cruz Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I've always thought this one was quite convincing. Hey Steve, stop taking pictures of real cars man!!! We are talking models here!!!
Raul_Perez Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Though this is not mine, I'd have to pick this one as a GREAT photo of a very well done model. For me it's not just the model, but also the background that sets the tone and separates the type of model that you look at in a casual, passing glance from what you want to study and admire. For me, this photo from Ismael captures that essence completely. Not only is the model an excellent display of craftsmanship but it's set in a perfect background to accent what the car is all about...racing heritage. If he had weathered it, then it would be better suited in a pit or a trackside scene, but with it's clean, "retired from racing" appearance, this background is perfect. It reminds me of a high class display that you'd see at Harrah's Auto Museum. Bravo, Ismael, bravo!!
bigblkmopar Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 (edited) I do all my pictures the same way...... black background with light from above. This is my favorite build. Although I'm a fan of the 1968 to 1970 "B" bodies this 1967 GTX is still my fav... I think it's a combination of the blue and white color combo and the HEMI 4 speed! Non vinyl (painted roof) white wall tires and factory stripes. Hope you enjoy..... Bryan (bigblkmopar) Edited July 3, 2008 by bigblkmopar
raisin27 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Cant exactly put my finger on why, but I always liked this pic of my 55 Crown Victoria. Raisin
VW Dave Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 (edited) Like others have said, it's hard to pick just one favorite....this one was, however, very high on my list: Ever since I put together the ceramic tile/deck railing/tripod & macro setting combo, I've taken much better pics of my models. Semi Trailer Mechanic Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 What's goin' on... I guess it'd have to be this one...
Andy Wyatt Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Not my favorite build but the diffused lighting of the overcast day really helps this photo a lot.
Jerry Steinbacher Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I guess it would have to be this one, strictly for sentimental reasons. Before Dad passed he said this was his favorite build so for that reason, my favorite pic...
JAFFA Posted July 4, 2008 Author Posted July 4, 2008 Oh, look at all theese amazing builds!! I guess i can put my own humble contribution to it as well, even if its not finnished, i like the pics of my little forestjumper: Wish i would have had the engine in when i shot it tho...
evilone Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 it would have to be this one it dose not have a spiffy back drop or has the whole car in it it dose contain the cleanest engine ive ever done though
