DrKerry Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) 67 Shelby, Mustang Mach iii body sides, Salleen lower front bumper.. NASCAR chassis that’s been shortened.... Tires and wheels will get mounted next and then fenders will get flared to cover tires!!! 66 Galaxie hood scoop!! Edited January 23, 2018 by DrKerry
DustyMojave Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Looks good so far. I'm hoping to see race car style wheels and tires on it rather than dubs. I built a 68 GT500 kinda like it back in the late 60s. Big fender flares, wide tires and wheels, lowered stance, etc.

Wheels and tires are fromthe Revell Porsche Mobil One GT-1 EVO kit, along with the rear wing that will be narrowed a touch and the brake rotors and such.... I'll scratch out a front chin splitter too!!!

El Caballo Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Neat mixture, that will be quite the road racer.
DrKerry Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 Minor set back today at work tinkering with suspension and knocked the front part of the frame off!!!! Gotta realign it and put it back on!!!! Was working on getting rotors and wheels and tires set and oops ?
Modlbldr Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 I like the look of this, especially the Mach III body sides. Very aggressive appearance. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Later-.
geetee66 Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 This'll be a great transformation! The body looks like it was in a Mad Max film, in a previous life.
DrKerry Posted December 21, 2017 Author Posted December 21, 2017 Thanks guys, got the frame clip back on and working on ride height again!!!!! I’m thinking of going all gloss black on it!!!!!

DrKerry Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Looking for a set of wheels and tires for this hot rod, the ones I have I'm not to keen on how they look under it.....
DustyMojave Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 You might add rims outside of those centers to make the wheels deeper.

Might be kool but probably not how it’ll be!! Sorry!!!! Lol ? Think I have the wheel issue figured out now!!! Found a set of more aggressive wheels that look pretty good under it so far!!! May have to flare the fenders more and will be cutting the front fenders more to get this at the ride height I want it at!!!! Edited January 7, 2018 by DrKerry
DrKerry Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 Well I either had an epiphany and took this to another level or I killed it and will send it out to pasture!!!!!! But as most of you know by seeing my builds I like them slung low!!!!!!!! In order to get the rolling stock to fit drastic measures had to be taken and the results are below!!!! Had I left the body alone and not cut it, it would of looked all jacked up in the front end and I didn’t want that!!!!!
Codi Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Well Kerry, you took the leap so I can't wait to see how you blend in the front fenders. It's fun to visualize it at this point, hope it works out for you as it has a ton of potential. I think it's an epiphany. cheers, tim
1500gp Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 inspiration with this one C5 Vette powered ? ...
DrKerry Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 Thanks gents and your right Codiits too late now!!!!! No going back!!!!!
DrKerry Posted January 16, 2018 Author Posted January 16, 2018 (edited) Front rotors are mounted, now I can start to reconstruct the front fenders!!! Been a bit slow at this point but it is moving along... Tape is in place to hold front clip together as there isn’t much support in it right now!!! Only two strips about an 1/8th of an inch holding it together!!!! Edited January 16, 2018 by DrKerry
