cobraman Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Looks very nice. I bought a brand new one in 1977.
TarheelRick Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Beautiful build. Really love those style trucks. I owned a 74, drove it until some lady caught me in a glancing head-on on a divided four lane, yeah, she was a bit influenced. Put a California Step-side on it, drove it for awhile then traded it for a 78 King Cab, that one was my favorite.
bbowser Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 Really well done! These things were everywhere back in the day.
89AKurt Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Didn't know such a kit existed. Looks great! I'm amazed how huge Nissan pickups are now, and these are super rare to see on the road.
LouO Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Reminds me of the days when you could buy a "basic truck". Nice clean work. Good choice of color.

I would vote for it. That's EXACTLY the way those trucks looked like back then! They never had bright flashy colors, usually muted tones like this. I remember them in colors like mustard yellow, avocado green, pale tan, pumpkin orange, dirty white. The brightest colors they had were medium blue and straight red - and that was bland too! Your's captures the real look of the truck when it was new, ride height and all! I've been looking for the inspiration to build my kit stock. This is it! Hope you don't mind, I've downloaded copies of your truck to save for my reference file. Well done!
