CarlR Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 This was an interesting and fun build but I did find the fit of the hood, cab and front fenders a challenge to correct which unfortunately, in the final assembly did not come out right. The paint job is nail polish thinned with lacquer thinner over a gold base. This finish was not very durable and suffered a number of dings and scratches during assembly.
NOBLNG Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Beautiful! I like the color. Were the wooden bed rails in the kit, or did you fab those? The grain on them and the bed are awesome.
mustang1989 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Man that is a good lookin' build Carl. The wood work is fabulous!!
espo Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Very nice looking truck. You are correct about the fitment of the hood and the body. I had to massage the one I built also, but it still makes a nice looks little pickup.
CarlR Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 thank you all for your comments Nblng... the wood rails in the bed and the stakes on the side come in the kit. The wood grain is well done and with the right painting technique (or luck in my case) they really add to the truck
Mercuryman54 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Carl, I think your truck looks great!! Paint looks good to me! I used popsicle sticks on mine. Dennis
Jim N Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Great looking truck. The wood effects are very convincing.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Very nice!! I really like the color and the wood grain is awesome!
