Mr mopar Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 off FB page of Round2 this is the New wheel & tier set .
Rob Hall Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Not sure what is 'wild' about them, 'mild' would be more accurate...looks like the same generic 5 spoke wheels that have been included in several recent reissues...
Dave Darby Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) Tampo printed white lettered tires and what appears to be the nice American mags from the 67 Charger kit. http://www.collectormodel.com/round2-models/4373-kat-chat-totally-tubular-tires/#sthash.8ExQRfHq.hTYB9iFN.dpbs Edited June 11, 2018 by Dave Darby
berr13 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Don't know about y'all, but I can't have too many sets of Torque Thrust looking five spoke wheels, and the tires won't be bad either. Bring 'em on!

Bring 'em on! I agree with you there. I just bought the new issue off the '62 Pontiac just because of the wheels and tires. I already have a half a dozen Catalinas now.
Muncie Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Looks like a nice set of Torq Thrusts - Is this the place to say we need some Cragar SS wheels - big and little like the original '71 Road Runner and some skinny fronts for the vintage funny cars... I'm hoping Round 2 already has them in the works.

Yep! Those are in the latest '68 El Camino kit... With redlines on one side... And Firestone on the other.....
Snake45 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Sweet! I'll probably order several sets. These look good on almost everything.
High octane Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 They do look good, however I have plenty of tires in stock right now.
samdiego Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 I think they resemble an Astro Supreme more than the Torque-thrust
stavanzer Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Either Way, I've gotten about 4 sets of them now, as the "bonus" in new Round2 kits. I'm beginning to have too many of them. It feels like they are becoming less of an extra, and more like just another option. I have mixed feelings about them. They are well done, and I'm glad of the 'value added' they represent, but they are not a style I particularly care for, or will ever use. So in that sense, they are of no value in getting me to purchase a kit. I buy kits based on what I like, and these wheels have no influence on the pros & cons of that decision. I'd much prefer a great set of Cragar Rims instead.
Rob Hall Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 It would be nice if Round 2 could come up with other newly tooled vintage style rims, using this one style over and over and over again (must be at least 1/2 dozen kits in the last 2-3 years with them) is getting pretty boring...
dustym Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 haven't bought any AMT's for awhile, so i don't have these. I may purchase them now, and save me from buying more kits i don't plan on building.
RichCostello Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 I think they should try a set with big & little tires(like the Polyglass GTs) with some nice steel wheels, and stock 60s dog dish hubcaps. I bet they would sell, there isn't a lot of kits with them.
