Mr mopar Posted August 18, 2018 Author Posted August 18, 2018 Question how long are the fuel injector stacks ?

So these carburetors will work nicely for your build. Otherwise you can use the carburetors from the AMT 1960 Starliner Custom or 2 'n 1 kits, they looks pretty good too. For the Injection manifold you could use one from the AMT Street Freak Mustang or similar and use aluminum tubes. Thank you very much for this most appreciated information.
Brett Barrow Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 The carbs in the kit look pretty good they have detail if you leave the aircleaners off. They reminded me a lot of the Starliner carbs when I first saw them.
gtx6970 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Are the hoods interchangeable between 64 and 65 models .? And Yes I know the hood is molded shut on the 64
afx Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) '65 hood is on the left, a '64 hood I cut from a glue bomb is on the right. The '64 hood is both shorter and more narrow than the '65. Edited August 23, 2018 by afx
boss 302 mustang Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Jardine Headers is misspelled on the decal sheet.........

boss 302 mustang Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) maybe, but it's annoying, like the "Muldoon" instead of Milodon on the Slixx KS Pittman sheet or the "Stahl-Muffler" instead of Stahl-Moroso on a Slixx nostalgia drag sheet Edited August 22, 2018 by boss 302 mustang typo
Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Hack the "arms" off that "E", though, and you have your "I"...
Dr. Trevorkian Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) The restored car and period photos have it spelled "incorrectly." Edited August 23, 2018 by Dr. Trevorkian
Brett Barrow Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Aw, man, I just sharpened my pitchfork for nuthin'.

Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) MAN, there are maybe what, half the trees that carry over from the street version? Unfortunately, the firewall is one of those carry-over parts. But the chassis is new (or at least it has a new front insert with a more radically raised set of integrated lower suspension arms), engine's new, 30% of the interior's new, and so is the body shell, which has had its chrome moldings removed and the rear wheel arches teased a bit for the larger tires. I'd put this kit at a pretty conservative 60% distinct from the stock version. Edited August 23, 2018 by Chuck Kourouklis content reassessment

boss 302 mustang Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I think Jerry Jardine would be disputing that spelling......
'70 Grande Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Or Jerry Jardine's law firm is the reason for the different spelling.
Brett Barrow Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Think it's more likely the painter goofed and nobody noticed (or cared) for 50 years.

The blower scoop looks like a Steve Perry/Calnaga Castings part, and I know Steve spent a lot of time doing a more accurate master for the SOHC valve covers, so maybe that is a Calnaga part as well....???
